I don't envy you, man!  Shelby just sent me [this article]( - apparently, today, tomorrow, and Sunday are the busiest travel days of the entire year!  Totally checks out to me, man. That's why these days, I like to have my family come to ME for Thanskgiving - call it one of the perks of being 85!  Anyway, as I was thinking about all you Cousins on the road today, a special movie popped into my head.  I'll give you a little clue:   Plains, Trains, and Automobiles! It's like the "Gone with the Wind" of Thanksgiving flicks, man!  I mean, who doesn't want to watch Steve Martin and John Candy bumble their way home to a turkey dinner.  Always reminds me a lot of the type of fun Cheech and I used to have... just with a lot less of the green (at least on camera!)  But it got me thinking... why the heck does Thanksgiving get the short end of the stick when it comes to holiday movies?  I mean, Christmas is its own genre.  There's more Christmas flicks than I have hand-carved pipes (and that's a lot of pipes, man). Everything from "It's a Wonderful Life", to the thousands of Hallmark specials, to "Die Hard" (yeah, it's a Christmas movie).  But Thanksgiving? I'm pretty sure you can count the classics on one hand, man.  (And if you're counting "Scent of a Woman"... well, let's just say it's not exactly what pops into mind when I think of family-friendly holiday cheer)  Maybe me and Cheech need to get together and make a Thanksgiving comedy.  Can you picture it? Cheech and Chong's Smoked Turkeys  Now THAT would be a fun movie, man.  What do you think? Do you have a better idea for a title?
