Halloween's the one chance everyone gets every year to dress up as whatever they want, and it's socially accepted.  So in my mind, it follows that the type of get-up you lean towards represents some of who you are deep down... Follow me so far?  Now, your Uncle Tommy is no Freud... (though, I'd say my beard is AT LEAST as iconic as his...) but I've been to my fair share of Halloween parties over the years...  In fact, Cheech and I used to throw a pretty legendary Halloween party in LA back in the day. It was the stuff of legends... But that's a story for another time.  These days, when I go to a party, I prefer to hang back (by the food...) and people watch. It's like my favorite hobby.  And when I take a minute to get a little "philosophical" in the car on the way in, then I tend to find myself cooking up all kinds of crazy theories about what I see.. (What can I say? I'm a writer at heart...)  Superhero costumes, for instance... Ever notice they come in 2 varieties?  The first one is the good looking guy or gal trying to pretend they don't know how attractive they are... all the while wearing bright blue spandex to make sure everyone is looking at them...  And the other superhero, is people who try to take a funny/satirical take on the superhero... Secretly, I think they wish they were the first type, you know?  Hey, maybe I should go find an old-timey suit ([and a vial of c*caine]() and go to Halloween dressed as Sigmund Freud this year? What do you think?  (Though, I gotta say I disagree with his more controversial theories... Kinda sounds like he was just working through his own stuff if you know what I mean...)  What about you? Care to send me your "go-to" costume to get psychoanalyzed by your Uncle Tommy as part of our little SCARYSAVINGS fiesta?  If you want to give it a shot, reply back to this email with your favorite costume or what you’re going as this year.  In one of my next notes, I'll pick a few and write what I think it says about you.  Speaking of costumes... you know who truly has their life together?  The folks who choose to dress up as Cheech & Chong.  Dressing up as us is a statement, man. It obviously says you're very smart, well-traveled, and have an impeccable taste. Plus, it's just downright hilarious. Here's just a few the boys down at the office sent my way to chuckle at: [Cheech And Chong Costume 1] [Cheech And Chong Costume 2] [Cheech And Chong Costume 3] [Cheech And Chong Kids] Can you imagine? Young folks, some even younger than my grandkids, dressing up 80-something-year-olds Cheech & Chong for Halloween!  Now that's a trip, man! Are any of you dressing up as me and our pal Cheech this year? If so, make sure to email us with a picture or share it in [Tommy's Family](!  That way, we can all applaud your impeccable taste!  Keep on keepin’ on.  Peace and love, [Tommy Signature] Tommy Chong  P.S.
