In honor of our ol' pal Jeff Bezos over at Amazon, I wanted to hear about all your favorite local "hidden gem"... You know, the shops, food joints, and local finds that make your neck of the woods unique...
Â
AKA, the really good finds you just can't just hit "one click order" on and have shipped to your door in 1 day.
Â
And man, did you all deliver!
Â
Now, I won't lie to ya... going through all the suggestions, I've been getting this itch to just hop in a car and go on a wild cross-country road trip, hitting all these amazing places.
Â
Maybe I can convince Cheech to join, what do you think??
Â
Anyway, here are a few of the awesome you all shared:
Â
My neighbor, Sandy Olsen, makes the most wonderful chocolates from scratch. The liqueurs are huckleberries picked from the mountains around us. Then marinaded in vodka. Seeâs makes pretty good chocolates, but hers are better. However, at 80+ yrs old she canât take any new orders. But for the lucky fewâ¦.. Tom J, Sula MT

Â
... and man, that's just scratching the surface!
Â
I'm already planning my route - might need to borrow a bus and turn it into a whole "Magic Trip" experience.
Â
If you see a smoke trail crisscrossing the US, well, you know where it's coming from.
Â
Thanks for sharing your local love, Cousins.
Â
It's a testament to the fact that while big companies might have the range, they don't have the soul of these local joints.
Â
And who knows, if I really hit the road, I just might see you there, supporting your local spots.
Â
Keep on keepin' on,
Â
Peace and love, [Tommy Signature] Tommy ChongÂ
