I mean, I love Easter! The family's together, spring is in the air, and of course, I have a hoppin' good reason to hook you up with a discount over on [GetChongCBD.com](~/AASl5QA~/RgRmFBSQP0T-aHR0cDovL3d3dy5nZXRjaG9uZ2NiZC5jb20_dXRtX3NvdXJjZT1LbGF2aXlvJnV0bV9tZWRpdW09Y2FtcGFpZ24tZW1haWwmdXRtX2NhbXBhaWduPTQuNy4yMyUyMC0lMjBFYXN0ZXIlMjAlMjMyJTIwJTI4MDFHWEVaVzEwSFNDRVlXMDE4N1pENUpENFolMjkmc3ViMT0wMUdHVFYxSktGNjc2N1oyUjE2MkExWDM2USZfa3g9b3doblFZTTBoV3hXXzBpb2ZtTm5xTHJaQVhjekQxakpCTUdWenB5Q0plTlJrV0pYOTFocjJ1QjJMbkstLWg2ci5WdGlqVkdXA3NwY0IKZCKQjzFkFFDcGFIbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luOTJAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAfJB) (just use clever code BUNNY at checkout for 30% off and free shipping... you know the drill). This week, I did my usual and went down a little research RABBIT hole (get it? I crack me up...) about the origins of Easter and the Easter Bunny. (Yes, it was after one of my "roof deck sessions" if you catch my drift). Of course, we know the Christian tradition - Easter is the day to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ (Bunnies and candy-filled easter eggs just happen to be a nice bonus). But it turns out that the origins of some of these other Easter-related traditions (even the name itself) are a bit of a mystery! Let's talk about the name, Easter. Have you ever actually thought about where that name comes from? After doing some searching (online of course, so take it with a grain of salt), some say "Easter" actually comes from Ishtar, the goddess of fertility. Some others say it come from the German Eoestre, the "goddess of the dawn and bringer of light". Any way you shake it, it's clear that Easter has been a symbol of new beginnings and hope for thousands of years and for a bunch of different cultures --gotta say, I love that! Now, let's talk about the Easter Bunny. This little guy has been hopping around since the 1700s, but why? Well, rabbits have long been a symbol of fertility and new life, (for, you know, the obvious reasons...) which fits perfectly with the Easter theme. And let's be real, who doesn't love a cute little bunny? What about Easter eggs? Well, those have also been around for centuries, and some say they represent the tomb of Jesus. Others say that they represent new life, with the cracking of the egg symbolizing the emergence of new life from the shell. No matter what you believe (and it don’t matter to me, I don’t judge), one thing is for sure: Easter is a time for new beginnings and fresh starts. And what better way to celebrate than with a basket full of chocolate eggs and a fluffy bunny by your side? Haha…ok, so that still doesn’t make that much sense, but the kids love it! So go ahead and indulge in some Easter treats, cook up a feast, spend time with loved ones, and embrace the hope that this holiday brings. Enjoy your Easter tomorrow, and if you need anything we got here at Casa Chong, don’t forget to grab your 30% off everything at [GetChongCBD.com](~/AASl5QA~/RgRmFBSQP0T6aHR0cDovL0dldENob25nQ0JELmNvbT91dG1fc291cmNlPUtsYXZpeW8mdXRtX21lZGl1bT1jYW1wYWlnbi1lbWFpbCZ1dG1fY2FtcGFpZ249NC43LjIzJTIwLSUyMEVhc3RlciUyMCUyMzIlMjAlMjgwMUdYRVpXMTBIU0NFWVcwMTg3WkQ1SkQ0WiUyOSZzdWIxPTAxR0dUVjFKS0Y2NzY3WjJSMTYyQTFYMzZRJl9reD1vd2huUVlNMGhXeFdfMGlvZm1ObnFMclpBWGN6RDFqSkJNR1Z6cHlDSmVOUmtXSlg5MWhyMnVCMkxuSy0taDZyLlZ0aWpWR1cDc3BjQgpkIpCPMWQUUNwYUht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAB8kE~) with code BUNNY so you can stock up on some spring goodies for yourself.
