Over the weekend, I asked you all to share any memories you have (hazy or no) about your first memory of me and Cheech. And boy, did I open some floodgates of 60s and 70s nostalgia! But you know, those are my favorite kind of stories so I’ve been loving it! The answers to that one are still rolling in, and I gotta say, I'm giggling like a schoolgirl reading 'em. Shelby thinks they're a hoot too! Because you guys remember some stuff about me and Cheech that even I don’t even remember…which isn’t too surprising. (Though I pretty much lived in a cloud of smoke at all times back then so my memory definitely IS hazy) But look what these guys remembered….(also, make sure you read this note all the way to the end cuz I got another question for ya!) I was 11 when Up in Smoke came out and my friends parents had the album that we listened to over and over. The one part we memorized and I still remember is….if you don’t get a job before sundown, I’m going to ship you off to military school with the Finkelstein sh*t kid, son of a bitch. Not sure if that’s exactly how it went but that is my first memory of you guys. Then several years later I was watching the movie stoned lol I was a proud stoner starting way to young but made it through college to become a dental hygienist. Now at 55 trouble with sleeping brought me to your site. I no longer like the affects of THC or alcohol but the nice dreams and good vibes are helping so far ( only 2 days use) Thank you Kerri My first memory of both of you was watching Up In Smoke when that came out. I was high as a red wood and had a red wood buzz. I had to watch the movie a few times because I laughed so hard I kept missing things. Brenda I don't remember exactly when, but it was the early 70' s. I was a teenager and my older brother came home with one of your albums. I haven't laughed so much since!!! I especially loved Sister Mary or whatever her name was..."class, claass, CLaaass...SHUT UP!!!! I also remember farting in the car "excuse me. What am I saying excuse me for? There's nobody here. Ohh, my ass is burning!!!" Laughed my ass off! Thanks to you and Cheech for helping me develop my sense of humor. Connie L. Hi Uncle Tommy, My first memory of you and Cheech is when I was 13, I heard you on a college radio station in Boston late at night up in my room with my crappy transistor radio on low volume so my parents wouldn’t hear. I remember clearly the “Dave’s not here” bit also the “kamikaze” bit. Immediately a fan for life. Thank you for all the laughs throughout the years. Rob Hi Tommy, My first memory of Cheech y Chong is when my older cousin Jack introduced me to “Blind Melon Chitlin’”, Acapulco Gold Filters”, and “The Pope: Live at the Vatican” (“All you wops a get offa da lawn”, OMG!) It’s okay, I’m Italian, I can say that, LOL. then it was on to Sister Mary Elephant”, Ralph and Herbie, and the Continuing Adventures of Pedro de Pacas and Man”. It was edgy - at least for me, I was like 13! Felt like I was getting away with something, because my mom and dad never would have let me listen to that stuff! I remember some of those routines like it was yesterday… Deane AKA, Dino Lambrusco…my nickname as a kid. Man, you wouldn't believe how much it warmed your Uncle Tommy's heart reading through all these memories. I hope you enjoyed those reminiscences as much as I did.. Now let’s keep the good times Rollin’ (see what I did there?)...with your next question. What’s something you’ve always wanted to do, but haven’t yet? Now this could be something scary like skydiving, or traveling somewhere, or asking somebody your own crazy questions, or WHATEVER….just think about something that’s on your bucket list that you’d want to do before you kick the bucket on this plane of existence... I’d love to know…so just hit Reply and start typin’! Keep on keepin’ on. Peace and love, Tommy Chong P.S Don't forget the COUSIN sale is still going strong!
