December is Round Down for Charity month!

A couple of days ago you got an email from me about my “Round Down for Charity” idea. Cool part is….YOU get to choose which charity out of 3 we selected because we think they do such great work. Again, those are Toys for Tots, A Place Called Home, and BIAA. And the "Round Down" part, is that it doesn't cost you one dime extra--we don’t add any charge to your order… Uncle Tommy foots the bill. See? 'Cause at lots of places they ask you to "round up" for charity and they'll add like 55 cents to your order to make it a whole number and the change goes to charity... And I think that is a GREAT idea, and totally worth doing if you've got the room in your budget. All those pennies add up and can do A LOT of good when we all chip in just a little. But we decided to do things a little different around here... (That should be my motto at this point, huh?) Anyway, instead of "rounding up", we're "rounding down" by taking some off the top of each order from our end instead of yours. I figure I can afford it. Plus, it makes everything you guess it.... Nice n' Easy! (my two favorite words). You choose and I pay... (It's like picking out furniture with Shelby... Don't tell her I said that!) Anyway, here's why I'm ticked pink about the whole thing even after just 3 days so far: Steve down at the office just explained something to me called "analytics". Now, don't worry, this isn't "analysis" (which is what Shelby thinks I should get...) Analytics let's the team down at Casa Chong know which parts of the website people like and which parts they don't so we can fix and update things. (And that's about as much as I understood from Steve's explanation) So, what does analytics have to do with our Round Down for Charity campaign? Well, ever since we started asking folks where they wanted to donate a portion of their order... more people have been checking out... Apparently, it's pretty common on the internet to add things to your shopping cart, but then not actually buy the thing... (Different strokes for different folks, I guess. ) But ever since we gave people the choice of where to "round down" my donation, well, more people are completing their purchase and less people are leaving stuff in their carts. PLUS, we've seen more referral orders too! It's a win/win/win. More people are getting the relief they need from our CBD. WIN! More folks are finding out about products that can help them. WIN!
