So, I've got to level with you, man. Your Uncle Tommy's been getting a little... how do I put this... granola these days. Shelby's been opening my eyes to all kinds of things I used to think were totally fine (and that most of us have used for decades), but are actually pretty bad for the human body. Things like Teflon pans, which can release those nasty "forever chemicals" when they get scratched. Or drinking from those disposable plastic water bottles, especially if they've been left out in the sun. Who knew, right? But here's where it gets really wild, man. I came across this article the other day that... well, let's just say it made me cross my legs a little tighter. To spare you the (kind of gross) details, there was a study done by the University of New Mexico recently testing for microplastics in the human body. And what they found is that [microplastics have been discovered]( in human testicles, with researchers saying it might be linked to declining sperm counts in men. The scientists tested 23 human testes (post-mortem, not live, man! Could you imagine that consent form?), as well as 47 testes from pet dogs. And get this - they found microplastic pollution in every single sample. Another study found microplastics in [4 out of 5]([ahem](["randy johnsons" they studied.](.. ( I mean, first of all... What were they looking for?) When I sent those articles to Dr. Clark (like I normally do with this stuff), he then [sent me back this one](. Apparently, they also recently found microplastics at the top of Mount Everest, man. Can you believe it? We've managed to pollute the highest point on Earth with our plastic waste. Talk about leaving no stone unturned, huh? Now, I'm already 86, so I figure I don't have all that much to worry about personally. But the young folks? I don't know, man... I feel concerned. Also, let's be real, I also feel bad for some of the researchers in these articles. Could you imagine - your buddy in grad school gets to climb Mount Everest for his research assignment... and YOU get the project where you have to look at a bunch of male private parts for microplastics. Talk about drawing the short straw! Anyway, I digress. I know this topic is a little "out there" even for your Uncle Tommy, man, but thanks for humoring me. It's got me wondering - have any of you cousins made changes to reduce your plastic use? Any tips for an old hippie trying to go green(er)? Keep on keepin' on Peace and love, [Tommy Signature] Tommy Chong P.S. I promise my next email won't be about testicles. Unless Cheech does something really stupid between now and then. Then all bets are off.   [Facebook]( [Instagram]( Don't Want These Emails? All Good Man! [Unsubscribe]( Send All Love Letters & Hate Mail Here: Tommy Chong's CBD 274 S 700 W Pleasant Grove, UT 84062
