Happy Labor Day, man! You know, Labor Day always hits me with mixed feelings. Now, don't get me wrong. I've got nothing but love for the working men and women out there (as you know well). But man, it's also the unofficial end of summer, which always kind of bums me out. Anyone my age probably remembers being told by our moms to put away our "white summer clothes" when September rolled around. As if the sun suddenly decides, "Welp, it's September 1st, time to tone it down a notch!" Though, growing up in the Chong household, we didn't exactly have "season-specific" clothing, ya dig? Our wardrobe policy was more "if it fits, wear it" - and sometimes even the "fits" part was negotiable. And don't get me wrong, I love fall. The air gets a little cooler, and we all get to pull out those comfy sweaters (though in California, you better stick to a LIGHT sweater, or you'll be sweating like a politician during a lie detector test) But there's just nothing like summer, man. Maybe it comes from how much I hated school and longed for summer as a kid. It's like my brain is permanently set to "summer vacation mode" - not that anyone's complaining! As I get older, I've come to realize I no longer have an infinite number of summers stretched out in front of me anymore. But... with modern medicine, who knows? Maybe I can squeeze out 10-20 more? Wouldn't that be a trip? Anyway, where was I? Oh right, Labor Day! See? I knew I'd bring it back around. My mind might wander, but it always finds its way home... eventually. Even though Labor Day marks the end of my favorite SEASON, it's still one of my favorite holidays. It's the only day that celebrates the regular hard-working folks who keep the country on the tracks. Without us, the whole damn system falls apart faster than my resolve when faced with a plate of munchies (which is why I tend to just keep healthy stuff in the fridge nowadays). Presidents are important, no doubt about that. Civil rights leaders are important... But so are we - the regular working people who get up in the morning and bust their hump to put food on the table. So, I hope you have the day off today, and that you're taking it Nice n' Easy.. Gathering with friends and family, maybe grilling up something tasty in the summer sun with something cold in your hand... (a [High & Dry](, perhaps?) Just saying... Either way, I hope you have a great day today. Happy Labor Day, man. Keep on keepin' on, Peace and love, [Tommy Signature] Tommy Chong P.S. In case you're worried you missed the LABORDAY sale. Don't sweat it, man. It's still in full swing till Wednesday. (We'll send out another reminder for the stragglers like yours truly...) There's plenty of time for stocking up tomorrow... Today, just make sure to remember the sunscreen if you're gonna be hanging out outside... Skin cancer ain't no way to live to 100...   [Facebook]( [Instagram]( Don't Want These Emails? All Good Man!
