Man, I'm still riding high from yesterday's Meet n' Greet at Binny's in Chicago. What a day! It was something else to meet so many Cousins and Bowlmates in person. You know, there's something about putting faces to names that really brings this whole familia to life. To all of you who showed up - thanks for making this old comedian feel welcome. It's times like yesterday that remind me why I still love doing what I do. Now, speaking of love... If you read my message from yesterday, you'll remember I asked about the craziest things you've done for love... And let me just say, reading through some of your notes left me equal parts impressed, inspired, shocked, and even hey, even a little scared, man. Remind me never to get on some of your bad sides in a relationship, okay? But without much ado, here are just a few of the messages you sent in: I remember moving from my hometown in Virginia and moved to Texas for My Love <3 The boldest thing I have done in my entire life so far, but I've loved every single moment with her, no matter what we were facing. Whether it was on an individual basis or not, we would do our best to work things out together because we love each other so damn much. Most impulsive thing that I could've done, and it's led to me being so much happier Steven A, California Every crazy thing I've ever done was for love!! Now that one, I just can't narrow down! Judith K, Nevada I sold my awesome 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback to buy a plane ticket to surprise my girlfriend (now wife of 41 years) at her college graduation. That pony was my dream car but love called. Missed out on cruising for a while, but gained a lifetime of happiness. Worth it? You bet, man! Jerry L, Oregon Summer of 1995, I was head over heels for this guy who loved skydiving. Problem was, I'm terrified of heights. Signed up for a jump to impress him, but when we got up there, I froze. He ended up pushing me out of the plane 'for my own good.' We dated for 6 months after that. Looking back, maybe I should've just bought him a drink instead... Linda M, Arizona Now, for those of you who haven't shared your famous (or infamous) love story yet, don't worry. You can still hit reply and let me know. Just remember, what happens in the familia stays in the familia... unless it's too good not to share, you know? Alright, and here's our next "Get to Know the Cousins" question: If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would they be and why? And hey, as much as Tommy and I are flattered, let's leave us out of this one man. We're looking to expand the guest list beyond the usual suspects, you know? Besides, you already get plenty of us through these emails. (Lucky you, right?) Can't wait to see who you all want at your dream dinner party. Who knows, maybe we'll even spot a trend. Be good Cheech P.S. You know, all this talk about dream dinners is making me hungry.
