Well, your Tio may have messed up a bit, man. Here's the thing... You know how you double-check that you've packed your toothbrush for a trip, only to arrive and realize you forgot your underwear? Well, that's sort of what happened with my email for National Cousins Day the other day. There I was, feeling all proud of myself for remembering to send out the message and coming up with a great question. But then...the responses started rolling in. At first, I was like, "Wow, look at all this love!" But then I noticed a pattern. A lot of you were asking about something I apparently forgot. Something about a sale? And a discount code? Well, I asked Tommy and the team down at HQ about it... And I come to learn that APPARENTLY, Tommy also usually runs a sale this week for National Cousins Day, man. And of course, as many of you wrote in to let me know, I was supposed to share the usual discount code. Classic Tommy, man... throwing me in the deep end without water wings. I mean, check out this text he sent me the other day: [Tommy And Cheech Text] I ask you, Marilyn, what was I supposed to get from that? I mean, come on, man. Did that look like complete instructions to you? Anyway, better late than never, right? So here it is - I've triple-checked with HQ, and you can get 30% off and free shipping on all our best-sellers on both [Cheechandchong.com]( and [Getchongcbd.com](. You just have to use the code COUSIN at checkout. Now, I also want to share just a few of the (MANY) amazing concert stories you shared: In the 70's, I went to around 200 concerts. I still have over 100 stubs saved. I really don't remember any of them. But, the ONE remembered is the Beach Boys in Tampa Stadium in the afternoon. Standing at the railing at the bottom of the stands, Smokin, BS'n and enjoying the music like never before and never again. It didn't feel like a concert. It was beautiful. Beach Boys amazingly the BEST! Kevin D, Colorado My most memorable concert was in 1965 at the Cow Palace in SF, and of course it was the Beatles. I was 15. By the end of the concert everyone there was sobbing with emotion. What a night! My best friend's father drove us and we cried all the way home. He must have been very puzzled. I also saw Jimi Hendrix' last concert in the U.S., which was in a small venue so we were up close. He was playing jazz and was absolutely electric. We saw all the bands back in the day at Winterland, etc. and that was the most memorable. Love to you both, Gillian L, California Happy Cousins Day Cheech! The most memorable concert I attended was Pink Floyd at the Olympia Stadium in Detroit. It was the first time I decided to enhance my concert experience, so I ate a small pizza with "special" mushrooms! WOW! What a great concert that was, too! 15 minutes before the concert started, a shoe flew from the upper bowl area and hit me in the back of the head. In my state of mind, I started to look for the person wearing only one shoe to give them their shoe back. Some Floyd fans were not as perceptive to my thought as I was and an altercation started, and ended very quickly as Pink Floyd started the show! My buddies still call me "Prince Charm'shroom" still to this day! I never found that Cinderella that hit me with their shoe though! LOL! Woody, Michigan 1993 Paramount Theater in Bristol, Tennessee I had the privilege of working a John Prine show. The concert was amazing but that wasn't the highlight of the day. After the concert, John brought out all the food and drinks from his Green Room and invited the tech staff and the front of house crew backstage to sit around a circle and he passed his guitar and whiskey around while we played and sang with him. I still pinch myself, John was the most genuine guy I've ever met. Dale F Hey Cheech! Happy Cousins Day! I was in High School and couldn’t drive yet. I wanted to go see Peter, Paul, and Mary (yes, I’m THAT old!) but my younger brother wanted to go see some guitar player. Our parents made us choose one concert for them to drive us to. So that’s how I ended up seeing Jimi Hendrix for my first ever live concert. By the end of the evening, I felt like “I Was Experienced”. BTW, I love your acting and your work with the arts! I want to visit The Cheech someday. Best wishes, A longtime fan Leslie M, Texas These stories are so good, man! If you haven't shared your most memorable concert yet, no worries. You can still hit reply and let me know. I promise I'll read it... eventually. Probably when I'm supposed to be doing something else Tommy asked me to do. And now, here's our next question: What's the craziest thing you've ever done for love? I know there's going to be some good stories in our Familia, man. Just a couple words of caution. 1) Remember, we're all family here, but maybe keep it PG-13, okay? We don't want to scandalize Abuela. 2) If you don't want your story to be shared with the Familia in a future email, just let me know when you share your story, hey? Be good, Cheech P.S. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
