I've got some exciting news for anyone in the greater Chicago area. Next Friday afternoon (July 26th), Cheech and I are doing a live meet and greet at Binny's in Lincoln Park! Binny's was one of the first liquor stores to pick up our High & Dry Seltzers, so we're thrilled to be heading to the Windy City. They called us a few weeks ago excited by how they're flying off the shelves in all 40+ Binny's stores accross Illinois. So, we put our heads together and decided to throw a little party to celebrate. Now Binny's in Lincoln Park is BIG, but not HUGE so we're capping the meet & greet at 1,000 tickets (and they're selling pretty fast...) I really think you're gonna love this. For just $20, you get:
- A photo op with me and Cheech (Guaranteed for the first 500 folks in line) - A free six-pack of High & Dry. (Guaranteed for all 1,000 tickets sold) - A free signed, limited-edition poster (check it out below) - AND a chance at an "Acapulco Golden Ticket" to fly out with a friend to Cheech & Chong HQ to come hang out with Me n' Cheech ([details here]( [Binny's Poster] Fun fact - the fake mustaches me and Cheech are wearing is actually a photo of Mike Ditka's mustache (it just felt right, man). Anyway, everyone who buys a ticket and attends the meet & greet will get one of these beauties as well - hand-signed by me and Cheech. Not bad, huh? You can get full details on our Golden Ticket Giveaway and [grab your tickets right here man]( (we'd love to meet you!) Now, speaking of Chicago, it looks like we're also going to be doing an event at Wrigley Field while we're in town. You know what, I really like Wrigley Field - it's got a nice ring to it, doesn't it? To me, it's a holdover from back when sports stadiums used to have REAL names. Not like all these new stadiums getting rebranded to things like the [Crypto.com]( Arena, or the KFC Yum! Center, man. I remember growing up, it used to be that most sports arenas and stadiums were named after people or locations. But around the turn of the century, I guess all these big money corporations started feeling like they needed to have their names plastered all over everything. It's like they're compensating for something, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I went down one of my rabbit holes the other day, and [found this interesting article]( about stadium naming rights. Some of these stories are wild, man. Take Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, for instance. It started as Joe Robbie Stadium, then became Pro Player Stadium (remember them?), then Dolphins Stadium, then - get this - Land Shark Stadium (named to promote a beer brand associated with Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville). Then it was sold to an insurance company, and then FINALLY to the Hard Rock Cafe chain. This place has had more identity crises than I've had munchies! Or of course for another ill-advised arena sponsorship, you could look at Houston's downtown ballpark. It was originally called Enron Field, but after Enron went bankrupt in 2001, they quickly renamed it to Minute Maid Park. They went from cooking the books to squeezing up some OJ, man. Anyway if you want to read more about it, you should go check out that article. But for me? I still have a real soft spot for the arenas like Wrigley Field, reminds me of times gone by man. (And yea, I know, I know. technically Wrigley is named after a company too⦠but the company was named after the guy⦠so Iâd call that 50/50) I'm curious too - what's your favorite sports stadium? Hit reply and let me know. Keep on keepin' on, Peace and love, [Tommy Signature] Tommy Chong â P.S. Remember, if you're in Chicago next Friday, come see us at Binny's! You can [get your ticket and your shot at the grand prize here]( for only $20. And if you're not in Chicago, well... maybe it's time for a road trip? [Facebook]( [Instagram]( Don't Want These Emails?
