[Geocaching] [Geocaching on Facebook] [Geocaching on YouTube] [Geocaching on Twitter] [Geocaching Blog] You’re invited to Mega-Events around the world! Love geocaching? Check. Interested in meeting other players? Check. Enjoy mazes, sitting around campfires, or touring historic sites? Check, check, check. If this sounds like you, get ready: Mega-Event season is almost here. Mega-Events connect hundreds, if not thousands of geocachers of all levels and are often held annually. Local players and organizations spend months planning these amazing gatherings for geocachers — and you’re invited! In 2017, Mega-Events will take place in 14 countries (and counting!). The first Mega-Event of the year kicks off [on February 12 in Yuma, Arizona, USA]. Here’s what else you need to know: - No two Mega-Events are exactly alike. - By attending one, you’ll collect the Mega-Event icon for your profile. - Each event has its own souvenir. - Mega-Events have 500+ attendees. - Really big Mega-Events with 5000+ attendees are called Giga-Events.
