Instead he’s excited about Tuesday’s first crewed mission aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard spaceship. “I am curious. I want to know what we are going to learn,” Bezos said, as he was joined by his fellow soon-to-be-spacefliers — his brother Mark Bezos, Dutch student Oliver Daemen and aviation pioneer Wally Funk. “We’ve been training,” Bezos said. “This vehicle is ready, this crew is ready, this team is amazing. Meanwhile, the U.S. Justice Department unsealed criminal charges against four people whom it identified as MSS hackers, accusing them of engaging in "a multiyear campaign targeting foreign governments and entities.” The targets of those attempted hacks include "a Washington university with an Applied Physics Laboratory involved in maritime research and development." GeekWire has contacted the University of Washington, which appears to uniquely fit that description, for further comment.
