Seattle Seahawks star Bobby Wagner is an active angel investor and accomplished negotiator, having represented himself in contract discussions that made him the NFL’s highest-paid linebacker. Now he’s bringing his business acumen to a new firm called Fuse Venture Partners, [teaming up with investors from Seattle-based VC firm Ignition Partners](.
The launch of Fuse is also a big milestone for Ignition, which will effectively sunset its brand name while managing existing investments in portfolio companies such as Icertis, Chef, Shyft, Maka, and others. Ignition veterans making the leap to the new firm include Kellan Carter, Cameron Borumand and longtime Ignition managing partner John Connors, the former Microsoft chief financial officer.
