Amazon Web Services kept the trend going this morning, announcing plans to lay off several hundred employees in its sales and marketing group, and a few hundred more from the team responsible for its physical stores technology. Some of the cuts are in training and certification, where the cloud giant says it’s shifting to self-serve digital training, and training programs run by external partners.
