Join us for a Community Conversation discussing students' mental health challenges as they head back to school BACK TO SCHOOL DURING COVID: Navigating Mental Health Challenges The Denver Gazette and 9News are hosting a Zoom Town Hall Thursday, August 19th at 5:30P.M. The goal of this installment will be to help equip parents, guardians, and educators with tools to access mental health resources for children and youth. This panel will examine the issues surrounding the lack of mental health resources for Colorado’s kids and the repercussions this last year had on the emotional well-being of children and young adults. Viewers will hear from educational, psychological, and advocacy experts who will explore the importance of mental health measures and support systems in place to protect and support children and will examine how Colorado leaders are working to destigmatize youth mental health issues and improve the access for these services. The discussion will focus on elementary, middle, high and college.
