1. Red Leg Brewing Co. will break ground Friday on a new $8 million brewery, food and event complex near the west end of Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs. The 14,000-square-foot facility will include a taproom with panoramic rooftop deck, an outdoor food court with eight vendors, and an outdoor community event center that will be the “first of its kind” in the city, according to a statement from brewery founder and president Todd {NAME}...[Read more.](

The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region announced an ambitious plan Wednesday to redevelop nearly an entire city block in downtown Colorado Springs, a project that officials of the nonprofit and community leaders predict will become a catalyst for additional development in downtown's core. Under the plan, the YMCA's 47-year-old downtown facility at Nevada Avenue and Bijou Street would be torn down and replaced with a state-of-the-art recreation and wellness center on the northwest corner of the same block; the center would be topped by a multistory apartment building...[Read more.](
3. A court-martial has been scheduled Monday for an Air Force Academy sergeant accused of attempted murder and 10 counts of assault, academy officials said Wednesday. Staff Sgt. Mariano Jackson, assigned to the academy’s 10th Surgical Operations Squadron, is accused of a series of assaults between 2016 and 2019, most of which involve a victim described as his “intimate partner.”...[Read more.](
