All the news you can use in a bite-sized format Hi {NAME}, Happy Friday! There are so many fun things going on this weekend. [Territory Days]( kicks off Saturday and runs through Memorial Day on Monday, the 16th annual [Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown]( takes place in Denver this weekend and the [MeadowGrass Music Festival]( in Black Forest runs Friday through Sunday. You can also check out ["Barnum"]( at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center or see comedian [Ali Wong]( at the Pikes Peak Center on Sunday. There's no shortage of things to do on what looks to be a lovely Memorial Day weekend. In unrelated news, today is National Cooler Day, Aviation Maintenance Technician Day, Brother's Day, National Escargot Day, National Scavenger Hunt Day and National Road Trip Day. Without further ado, here are 5 things worth sharing today. 1. The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park will debut a new guided experience this weekend, a grand addition in the park's 90th summer anniversary. The Royal Gorge's via ferrata, in Italian it means "iron path," will provide access to vistas that have so far been reserved for trespassing climbers an regal hawks at one of Colorado's most dramatic landmarks. [Read more...]( 2.  Patrick Frazee has pleaded not guilty in the disappearance and presumed killing of his fiancee, Kelsey Berreth. Teller County District Judge Scott Sells on Friday set an October trial date for the Florissant man, who is accused of killing Berreth in her Woodland Park home on Thanksgiving Day in 2018. Sells said he expects the trial to last three weeks. [Read more...]( 3. Douglas Bruce was convicted in absentia of five municipal citations in Pennsylvania, opening himself up to a new criminal charge and possibly a prison sentence. Bruce, a Colorado felon, former state representative and author of the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights, owns dozens of blighted properties around the country. [Read more...]( 4. Two Colorado Springs businessmen have launched an airport shuttle service to provide an alternative way to get to Denver International Airport and Colorado Springs Airport. "We see a need for more transportation here, especially to and from the airports once the Olympic Museum opens next year. We believe the museum will attract many more visitors to the region," said Andrew Woehle, one of two men who've started Infinity Shuttle. [Read more...]( 5. Wages in El Paso County during the past two years posted the biggest gains since the recession as employers had to boost pay to keep or attract employees, new data released show. The 3.2% increase last year and 3.6% in 2017 were the biggest back-to-back annual gains since 2007 and 2008.
