Well, {NAME}, it looks like it's *that* time of the year once again. The end of another 365-day cycle... Full of all sorts of adventures, challenges, revelations, wins, and losses. So in this email (and the next one), I wanted to look back and reflect on my biggest insights from 2023. I hope you'll find them helpful! Let's start with... Insight #1: Trust is eroding faster than ever before It's true. While the world was generally struggling with trust issues even back in 2022, I believe the process only accelerated in 2023. (and will continue to accelerate in 2024!) Why? There are a couple of reasons, like: ...The meteoric rise of AI tech (and all sorts of apps that use it) ...Never-before-seen levels of misinformation and "fake news" everywhere ...A massive loss of trust in "experts" in all sorts of fields that we used to look up to and blindly trust ...Significantly ramped up psyops (psychological operations) campaigns flooding the Western world, primarily architected by actors like Russia, China, and Iran ...And, of course, lots and lots of "fake gurus" getting exposed as sc@mmers... and people seeing through their bullshyte (it's easy to be a Lambo guru when there's a bull market, credit is cheap, and people are driven by greed... not so much in today's economic climate) All these things are making people more weary than ever... And I believe focusing more on Trust-building and sharing more undeniable Proof in your marketing in 2024 will be a winning strategy. Insight #2: The age of classic online courses is over Here's the ugly truth: If you wanna make good money selling courses in 2024, it's no longer enough to simply package up your expertise and sell it as pure information. That won't work anymore. Why? Two reasons: One: as Danny Iny -- one of the smartest people I know of when it comes to online courses -- recently said on a call (paraphrased): "In this age of AI, the value of information is rapidly heading towards 0. There are already countless courses out there made entirely by AI... from curriculum to the script to even the videos themselves... and this will only grow exponentially in 2024... Flooding the internet with an untold number of low-to-medium quality information products, causing people to race to the bottom" And it doesn't take a genius to realize that when Supply goes up, Demand automatically goes down. And Two: Even IF someone buys your course because of your slick copy... The chances of them actually consuming the course and implementing what's inside is very, VERY low. People are just so overwhelmed with information nowadays... They already have so much on their plate... That they're very likely to never even watch your course, let alone implement it. As someone who LOVES consuming information (and who finishes 80%+ of courses bought), this really pains my heart... (even though, fortunately, my courses have a much higher completion rate than most) But still... it is what it is. And I don't think this tendency will improve in 2024. Insight #3: Having a kid changes EVERYTHING If you're on my list, you probably know that on the 26th of May of this year, I became a (first-time) father. My daughter, Heléna was born... and with that, everything changed! My relationship with my wife changed... My own self-perception changed... My working capacity changed... My thinking, feelings, and priorities changed... My relationships with friends and family changed... How I recharge myself changed... How I live and do things every day changed... And my expectations of the future changed. Now... I don't know about you, {NAME}... but to me, that's A LOT of change. A sh*tton of change! And change of this magnitude brings with it all sorts of problems and challenges. I mean... You kind of have to re-discover, re-calibrate, and re-optimize your entire life... All while your energy, free time, mental capacity, and "free space to just mess around" all dropping like a rock 😅 This was arguably the hardest part of the year for me... ...but I think I'm getting better at living my *NEW* life. *** That's it for now... 3 of my biggest insights from 2023. Hope you've found them helpful. Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow! Cheers, -Csaba ALSO, Here are a few ways I can help you, whenever you're ready... 1.
