Hey {NAME}, I really wanted to send you something "deep" today... BUT... Since we're expecting the baby any day now, I simply can't get in a proper "flow state" that I need to write long-form emails. So... Let's do something else this time! It's time for some Q&A with Csaba instead 🙂 === Question 1: "Will copywriting still be in high demand in 10 years?" "Hi Csaba, I'm one of your big fans and I really appreciate all your sharing on Youtube, on the website of Game of Conversions. I have lots of questions coming up in mind as a beginner in copywriting. I've just wondered if copywriting is still in high demand in 10 more years And if this is a much more competitive field compared to the past and has more challenges for a newbie freelance copywriter like me. It seems unreasonable not to send these questions to you because I believe only you could give me reliably useful answers. Sincerely, Your fan from Vietnam" Before I answer this question... Let's clear the air about 2 things most people (especially newbies) totally misunderstand about "copywriting". #1 - Copywriting can refer to lots of different things: content writing, SEO writing, ad writing, sales letter writing, email writing... ...which all add VERY different amounts of value to people (and thus are rewarded vastly differently) and #2 - Direct response copywriting (the one we actually care about) is primarily NOT about writing copy :) It's about creating profitable ideas that tap into the already-existing problems/desires of an ideal customer avatar... and channeling those already-existing problems/desires onto a product you'd like to sell via a high-converting marketing campaign. That's the job of a proper "copywriter". Not to "write copy"... but to bring in the big bucks (for themselves or their clients!) So now that we understand the difference... The question "Will copywriting still be in high demand in 10 years?" becomes a moot point. ...Do you think people will want to make money in 10 years? ...Do you think they will want to hire others who can help them make money in 10 years? ...And do you think someone with the skills to generate revenue for a business will still be in high demand in 10 years? There's your answer 🙂 Now... If we ask "Will BEGINNERS be in high demand in 10 years?"... Weeeeeeell... that's a different story. Probably not, to be honest 🙁 So you either: [A - Step up your game right now, while you still have the chance](=) or [B - Learn how to properly use AI as an "assistant" who can help you]() (but you still have to learn all the high-level strategic things) === Question 2: In which stage of sophistication do you think copywriting services market is right now? 3rd or 4th? "Hi Crabs, I found you yesterday through a bing AI response. It was a link for one of your yt videos where you analyze sales letters. I then clicked on the description link, signed up to your list and immediately started reading your sequential pages sales letter. Great delivery! I found myself sucked right into it. You've formed one of the most interesting mechanisms I' ve ever seen for a copywriter's personal ad. In which stage of sophistication do you think copywriting services market is right now? 3rd or 4th? I am quite new to the game but I have intensely studied and analyzed some of the best ads of all time. What I am looking for is to test my copy against some really good one. Regards, Doukas" Wait up... "Crabs"??!! 🦀🦀🦀 That's one weird typo 😆 Nobody's ever called me "Crabs" before. Must be Chat GPT doing something "fishy" when recommending me (ha-ha!) In fact, I'm now thinking of changing my from name to "Crabs". What do you think, {NAME}... should I do it? Ahh, what the hell, I'll just do it for this email... cuz why not? :) Anyway... Back to the question at hand: "In which stage of sophistication do you think copywriting services market is right now? 3rd or 4th?" Well... it depends: Clients who want copywriters are probably in Stage 4... because it's quite a saturated market with LOTS of competition. (although this also depends on a lot of factors) So what does Gene Schwartz say about a market that's in a Stage 4 market sophistication? That's right: Instead of selling bigger promises, focus on showing HOW you deliver your result by developing a SEXY unique mechanism A few notable examples: "The Flaming Camel Method" "RMBC method" "PIG method" "Email deliverability consultant" You get the idea. Now... When it comes to newbies who wanna start copywriting... it's probably Stage 4 as well. So the same thing applies. === Question 3: Email-specific questions "Hi Csaba, First of all, I want to thank you for all of your copy breakdowns. This is so helpful! The last 6 months I learned as much as I could about copywriting and a few months ago, I started reaching out to people. I offer email copywriting and wanted to ask you if it would be better if I'd do email marketing as well. So what exactly did you do when you started out and do you think it's not that competitive if I just offer email copywriting? And is it always better to ask which emails they'd need me to write, instead of just saying that I write sales emails? Thank you in advance for answering these 3 questions, this really means a lot to me. -Marco" Before I answer this, here's a PRO tip: NEVER send busy people an email with the subject line "3 quick questions" when you're obviously NOT asking 3 quick questions. These are all complex topics that depend on several key factors... And I'd also need to better understand Marco & his business to properly answer these questions. But here's what I think, in a nutshell: Q1 - "I offer email copywriting and wanted to ask you if it would be better if I'd do email marketing as well." Probably yes. The more ways you can help your clients grow their revenue, the better. Q2 - "So what exactly did you do when you started out and do you think it's not that competitive if I just offer email copywriting?" [I talked about this extensively HERE]( Q3 - "Is it always better to ask which emails they'd need me to write, instead of just saying that I write sales emails?" Most copywriting clients have no idea what emails they need from you... they just know they want to boost their sales with your copy. So... Instead of being an order taker -- be proactive and act like a "trusted advisor". (this also goes back to Question #1) But -- again -- all these things depend on a LOT of factors. Usually 1 or 2 coaching calls is more than enough to properly figure this out. (If you'd like to coach with me 1-on-1, {NAME}, reply "COACHING" to this email and I'll get you the details) === And here's a bonus WTF question just for fun 😂 (YES...
