[Game of Conversions]() Have you ever heard of the term "corporate fat cats don't want you to know about it"? It's a common expression in financial & health copywriting... Where we share a unique new revelation about something... And then emphasize how the reveal of this valuable info is controversial for a certain group of influential people. For example... "New investment strategy that Wall Street fat cats don't want you to know about" "Scientific breakthrough: Leading Harvard MD discovers new type of molecule that unlocks your body's natural "fat burning" switch... but gets immediately silenced by Big Pharma" "An obscure new tax loophole that forces the IRS to pay YOU... yes, YOU... And the gripping story of how terrified bureaucrats at Washington have started a modern-day inquisition campaign against the man who exposed it!" The point is... Whenever you mention a "common enemy" that your target audience already believes in... They'll feel like you're part of the same group... Your copy will do better... And your conversions & sales go up. This works every single time, without fail. So why did I mention "corporate fat cats" at the start of my email? Because funny enough, the exact same thing happened to me about a week ago! Someone - a gentleman who shall not be named - reached out to me after watching one of my (mega-popular) proven sales letter breakdown videos... And even though I had the FULL blessing of the A-list copywriter who wrote it... He forced me to pull down the video based on all sorts of silly claims. And then, to add insult to injury, he also made me pull down ANOTHER video based on the same claims. (Keep in mind, we're talking about free videos on YouTube based on public information that I don't even monetize!) Now, I get it... In *his* mind, this probably seemed like a rational decision because apparently, I was "exposing trade secrets for his competitors to see"... But in reality, it was more of an emotional "Ego + Control thing" on his part... Something that he felt so strongly... He was willing to fight for it to the bitter end! In fact, when asking for help from one of my mentors, my mentor said: "He went angry ("lemons") before thinking about possible "lemonade" in this situation." I think that's a great way to look at it. Anyway... Even though multiple high-level people in my sphere of influence thought the the guy's demands are ridiculous... Even though he could have actually gotten a lot of VALUE from the breakdown video... Even though this was practically free PR for him that he didn't capitalize on... And even though he probably lost some respect in the eyes of several people... I decided to pull down the videos and give in to his wishes. Why? Because I didn't want to get bogged down in a nasty fight with a zealous, narrow-minded person. It's just not worth it... I'd rather concentrate on getting better at my craft or producing more valuable content for you. After all... When you're doing 100 videos in 100 days... it makes almost no difference if I have to re-shoot 2 videos 😆 I almost feels like a drop in the ocean. Plus, I love doing these breakdowns anyway, so more value for everyone.
