I rarely expose people publicly... But a few days ago, I had an experience with a TOXIC customer that I just can't ignore. So today, I'm going FULL "Chris Orzechowski / Ben Settle" on his ass! Not because I don't have anything else to do... But because I'm a huge believer in the importance of eliminating energy vampires from your personal & business life. Here's what happened... A few days ago, a guy named Greg sends me the following email: At first, I don't know what he's talking about because he hasn't really provided me with much context... But after checking his email address in ConvertKit... I realize he recently purchased my [7-Day Rainmaker Email Sequence template pack](). Cool. I immediately get a "gut feeling" telling me that this guy's either: - super lazy - can't read clear instructions - or he's just looking for the mother of all shortcuts In any case, I go to my Learning Management System (LMS), find the specific link to the specific lesson he's looking for, and manually email it to him. Problem solved. Or so I thought... Because then, he sends me this: OK, now I'm confused... What is he talking about?... 🤔 Is there a problem with my course platform? Did something break that's preventing him from getting access to the product? I gotta figure out what's wrong here. So I go investigate... I analyze each part of my funnel, double-checking if everything's working, step-by-step. And I don't find any problems. So the only logical explanation seems to be that he can't find the download link for some reason. Which is suuuuuper weird because -- out of 669 customers for this product so far -- he's the first person who's complaining about this. OK, whatever... I make a screenshot for him showing him the EXACT place where he can click on the PDF download link. And shortly after, I get THIS: WTF, man??!! Am I dreaming?... Did I accidentally swallow some sort of weird psychedelic drug with my English Breakfast Tea? What gives???!!!! At this point, I'm quite annoyed, to be honest... Not only have I wasted 30-40 minutes of my time trying to please this guy... He's starting to sound like the type of person Ben Settle often calls "low-IQ product junkie" ✔️ Passive-aggressive tone... CHECK ✔️ Only willing to do the bare minimum to achieve success in his business... CHECK ✔️ Showing Narcissistic tendencies... CHECK ✔️ Making a suuuuper BIG DEAL out of a $28 product (even though he's supposed to be some big-shot marketing agency owner)... CHECK Breathe, Csaba... BREAAAATHE I swallow my frustration... And send him one more email, showing him how to download the PDF template pack step-by-step... (with graphics, and arrows, and everything) And I even just straight-up send him the Amazon S3 link to the file itself. But then................................... HE'S BACK! 🤡 And sends me the following reply... JESUS CHRIST what's the matter with you, Greg?????!!! Let me get this straight... Step 1: You're looking for a template pack that's a "formatted document that you can either copy and past or rearrange the words and sentences to fit your product or service" Step 2: You purchase my 7-Day Rainmaker Email Sequence that LITERALLY does just that Here's an excerpt of what these emails look like: Step 3: You complain that this isn't "templatized enough" for you. DUUUUUUUUUDE..... This is the DEFINITION of "fill-in-the-blanks templates"! (there's even a Google Doc file that comes with this PDF) How much lazier can you get if THIS is not good enough for you?!..... (and dare I say, for a grand total of $28 for 8 long-form emails like this) Even total beginner copywriters would easily charge you $500 for an email campaign like this... And yet here you are... b*tching about your "final request" for me to give you a non-existent magic pill. At this point, I'm like "Screw you, Greg, I'm done with this sh*t..." So I send him the following reply: Unsurprisingly, he then goes on to call me an "asshole", a "b*tch", and someone who "bait-and-switched" him. To which I say... "Oh man, this thread is gonna make for a killer email about toxic customers - my list will LOVE IT 😁" And that's the end of the story. Hope you did, in fact, LOVE IT :))) You see, {NAME}, I RARELY do rants like this... But this time, I felt like Greg deserves to be called out for his idiotic behavior. People like him are like leeches who DO suck on the blood of honest, hard-working business owners... And hopefully, this story will help you detect them earlier the next time you have to deal with one. And if you feel like -- instead of Greg -- you could use a profitable fill-in-the-blanks TEMPLATE PACK and join 669 other happy customers... [>> Here's the link where you can grab the 7-Day Rainmaker Email Sequence for a small one-time fee of just 28 bucks]() It's da real deal.
