I had to make a pretty difficult decision this weekend, and I thought you should know about it. First, today is our end-of-month deadline. A big day for any campaign. Plus, Kari Lake launched her campaign earlier this month — right after we missed our goal in September. And if that wasn’t bad enough, we’re hearing lots of talk about Kyrsten Sinema these days. She’s getting ready, and with a warchest of close to $11 million she can do a lot to hurt us. All that is to say one thing — we can’t get ambushed here. Anything can happen right now. Without saying too much, there are a number of investments we have to make in order to be prepared. Because if our opponents get the jump on us, we’re cooked. Game over. Since our fundraising slowed down a ton this summer (and since we missed several of our goals), we had to push off making those investments. Until now — until this weekend. We had to decide this Saturday, and I gave the green light. Even though our budget isn’t quite where we want it to be. Now, I’m banking on the fact that telling you this will convince you to help us fill the gap. What that really means is… I need your help. Really.
