Hello Friend, (Friendly note: This email is a long one, but please read every word of it. There are many important lessons here, which you can't find elsewhere.) I have been contemplating on whether to let you in on a much guarded secret that is responsible for my success -- and many of my students' success -- in forex trading. Now thinking about it, since you have followed along with me this far... As a way to thank you, I will reveal the secret to you. I might regret doing this in the future, but oh well… So here it goes. The majority of forex educators focus on teaching their students the "hard skills": the best trading strategy... best analysis tool... best trading style... and best trading system. All are well. In fact they are necessary, because they are the foundation for forex trading. But have we forgotten an important aspect -- that we traders are human beings? Have we forgotten that we have emotions, can feel burned out, depressed, unmotivated... especially when things don't turn out well? What most educators neglect, is to highlight the importance of work-life balance and spiritual-psychological health to beginning traders. As a result, traders who are in their "beginner's high" are so obsessed in their work, that they work hard day and night... monitor endless charts... read piles and piles of data... ...Until they encounter their first major failure in trading. This is when they are overwhelmed by self-doubt. ("Maybe I just don't have what it takes to be a trader.") ...And they become skeptical. ("It's all a dream. All my time, energy and MONEY are wasted.") ...And their first thought of giving up arises. ("It doesn't work. It - just- doesn't - work.") Eventually, most of them (a whopping 85% of them, based on statistics!) will give up, and do their part to start spreading news that forex trading is a scam. There is nothing foreign here, is there? Haven't we all seen similar examples outside the forex world? Haven't we all seen how people give up at the first sight of failure, instead of pushing through until they experience success? You can choose to be different, when you practice the following secret principles. They came from my many years of roller coaster rides in the industry as an institutional trader. (Yes, the markets were much more volatile when I traded for a bank on Wall Street!) None of them are "hard skills". We talk about hard skills somewhere else. These simple principles have helped me to persist through hardships and eventually achieve success, and they will do the same for you too: (1) Balance your work and life. This keeps you sane, and prevents you from burning yourself out. (Remember this: overwork is a fast track to loss of interest... exhaustion... and abandoning your goals.) (2) Maintain a healthy body-mind condition. Staying in shape both physically and mentally has a direct impact on your performance in trading (as well as in life). This really needs no elaboration. (3) Establish a set of positive trading beliefs, e.g. set your goals and follow a well-defined system. This takes much stress out of the equation, and ensures you don't steer away from your trading goals. (4) Hone your skills. Train yourself to be really good. You will feel confident when you know you can trust your trading skills (and your measured performance tells you so too). Confidence is important, especially in times of trouble. (5) Seek help and guidance when needed. Trading seems like a lonely path, because you work independently almost all the time -- but it doesn't have to be so. Spend time with your family and friends, get into a mastermind or trading group, work with a coach; Share your successes and failures. These will ensure that you get the support you need. So here are some secrets for your success! I have a lot more to share with you in my [Forex Foundation Course](. These include: the life of a successful trader, the 3 Pillars of Trading Success, Trader Psychology... and much more! [Find out about it here.]( To your forex trading success!
