What's the most *dangerous and expensive thing* you can do as a coach? It's choosing your coaching niche. What? Dangerous? YES, and for many coaches, it’s also Expensive. I know, it sounds counterintuitive. But hear me out… When I talk to coaches - whether they're just starting out, struggling to get clients or even successful ones looking to level up - they all face the same roadblock: "I don't know my niche, so I can't start getting clients." Or… "I chose a niche, but it's not working and I'm not getting clients." Even successful coaches with years of experience and a solid client base often feel something is "off" about their niche. They believe that if they could just get it right, it would unlock a flood of better clients and bigger paydays. But here's the kicker: When you "choose" or "pick" a coaching niche as a coach, you're ALREADY making a critical mental error. The mistake? A niche shouldn’t be chosen. It should be DISCOVERED. It might sound subtle, but it’s not. Most coaches are asking "Who am I looking for?" …rather than the question they should be asking, which is: "Who is looking for me?" This small shift changes everything. I've taught thousands of coaches about niches, and I always ask them to think about what their ideal client is typing into a search engine… to solve their problem or challenge. Want to know the most common response? Blank stare. Or… “Umm, I never thought of that.” And that’s the problem. Most coaches have no idea what their potential clients are actually looking for. They're too busy trying to “pick a niche” instead of aligning with the real needs of the people who will pay them well for coaching. If this is you, then it’s very likely that this disconnect is costing you clients, money, and fulfillment in your coaching business. But there's hope. There's a better way… I recently taught my [7-Minute Niche Challenge workshop]( and if you missed it, I put up a replay so you can still get this niche-targeting training.
