What goin’ on everyone? Volatility, or the amount a security moves in a given time period, is a key concept to not only understand but to also embrace. Buying call options has become a very popular retail strategy in recent years. When traders buy options, the ideal setup is to find calls that do not have a lot of premium built into them. This usually occurs when the implied volatility of the stock is low, which causes the options pricing algorithms to demand lower prices for the options. But lower-priced call options also develop when the option has grown close to expiration, which results in the price of the option decaying to low levels in a process known as “theta decay.” If proper analysis and timing are applied, you run into a situation known as a “lotto” trade, which is typically sub-$1.0 options with the potential to witness significant movement in either direction. Then, when they come within a day of expiration, they are known as 0-DTE trades Friends, these are the kinds of trade ideas my right-hand man Ethan Harms and I are delivering every Thursday, ahead of Friday expiration. Here’s a recent example of just how fast these trades move. Specifically, during our April 7th video update to members, I presented the 08 Apr 22 $63 KO calls to members as a leading 0-DTE candidate. I delivered the idea as the option was sitting at $0.57, and roughly 24 hours later the call option had risen 90% to a high of $1.07 on Friday afternoon. How is it that these call options can increase in value so rapidly? Because, with expiration so close, much of the premium that had been built up in these options has decayed at a parabolic rate. [The other thing that our members love about these trades is that they require a smaller up front investment than purchasing the shares.]( This concept of only placing small bets on these trades is something that I strongly recommend, because they are also very high risk, given the extremely rapid theta decay that will take the value of these calls to zero if the underlying stock does not move quickly in the desired direction. BUT THAT’S WHERE ETHAN AND I COME IN! [We spend hours and hours analyzing and debating which trade ideas should make it to our alert list so that our members have access to the highest probability trade ideas possible.]( Do you have the time or the expertise to do that with high conviction? Now, this week is a very rare exception in terms of the timing of our 0-DTE video session, because of the Good Friday market holiday. In order to accommodate members, Ethan and I went LIVE with our latest ideas today, which means that our members are actively trading our latest curated list of 0-DTE ideas as we speak. Friends, these are the newest and most exciting live options-trading sessions I’ve ever hosted, and our process is only getting better each week.
