Welcome to your July 2021 edition of the intermittent Frontier Bushcraft Newsletter. 2022 Frontier B

Welcome to your July 2021 edition of the intermittent Frontier Bushcraft Newsletter. 2022 Frontier Bushcraft Field Course Dates We're pretty much fully booked for the remainder of 2021 but we are currently finalising our 2022 course calendar. We will be offering the usual mainstay courses plus at least one new course. We are aiming to post dates on the website in August and, if you are already on a waiting list or cancellation list, we will be in touch with you first. You can, of course, check out our courses via the following link - [( Paul Kirtley's Book - Wilderness Axe Skills and Campcraft Paul's new book, published by Schiffer Publishing, is now available. This hardback book weighs in at over 1kg with with 208 pages and 640 high quality photographs. You can find out more, read reviews, order a signed copy or locate other local sellers of the book via the dedicated site [wildernessaxeskills.com]( Great Outdoors Festival Paul, Matt and Amanda will be at the Great Outdoors Festival over the weekend of 6th-8th August 2021. Paul will be giving a main stage presentation as well as an axe skills and safety demo. There's lots of other good stuff on offer at the show too - check out the website for more information - [( Online Elementary Wilderness Bushcraft Course If you can't wait until 2022 to jump onto one of our courses, this is a paid online course we have been offering for a number of years. In formulating the course, we started with the syllabus of the Elementary course we teach in the woods but then built on it. In the online course there is more background information supporting the core techniques, as well as looking at multiple ways of achieving the same thing, that we would not have time for in a physical course, for example multiple different sources of fibres for making cordage. We can also jump seasons, from summer to winter for example. This is especially useful in some subjects such as shelter building and, again, allows us to provide a more comprehensive syllabus than we could in any one given season. Find out more, including grabbing a couple of free sample videos, via the link below.. [( Thanks for reading! We'll be in touch again soon, once the 2022 course dates are live on the website.
