Americans are once again reeling from a tragic mass shooting. Rep. Lucy McBath is running for re-election in Georgia's 6th District, in a true "toss-up" seat against her well funded 2018 opponent former Rep. Karen Handel. If you no longer wish to receive emails you can [unsubscribe here.]( {NAME} -- Americans are once again reeling from a tragic mass shooting. 5 people were shot and killed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin yesterday by an angry ex-employee on a rampage at the flagship MillerCoors brewing facility. My heart and my prayers go out to the families of the victims as they deal with this unspeakable tragedy. We absolutely have to do something to prevent shooting sprees like this. Inaction is not an option. In the House, our gun safety movement has already passed several bills to save lives and expand background checks across our country. They’ve been sitting on Mitch McConnell’s desk for months. In response to tragedy after tragedy -- from Sandy Hook to Las Vegas to Parkland -- and in the wake of El Paso, Dayton, and Virginia Beach in 2019, we've taken no significant action to curb the violence in the last 25 years here in the United States. It's shameful. And it’s why I ran for office. My heart is heavy as I write this email exactly one year after the passage of H.R. 8 to enact universal background checks through the House. Too many lives are being lost, and so many more are at risk. We absolutely have to act. We must continue to demand change until we can achieve it. Enough is enough. -- Lucy [KEEP GA-06 BLUE ⇨]( [Lucy McBath for Congress]( This message was sent to: {EMAIL} | If you no longer wish to receive emails you can [unsubscribe here.]( Lucy runs a people-powered campaign that relies on grassroots supporters like you -- and if she's going to win re-election, she's going to need your help.
