We have the president on the ballot, two Senate seats up for grabs, and there are likely to be at least two very competitive Congressional races (including Lucy's re-election race). Every vote cast in Georgia this year will matter, and the GOP is trying to make sure fewer votes are cast by Democrats. If you've seen the news, the Georgia GOP just successfully removed another 300,000 voters from the rolls in the last few weeks. Stacey Abrams and her group Fair Fight went to court to stop it, but a judge upheld the purge. We have to make sure the Georgia GOP is not allowed to continue to intentionally suppress the vote leading up to the 2020 elections. [Sign here if you agree -- we must stop voter suppression in Georgia and around the country.]( [END VOTER SUPPRESSION ⇨]( This has been happening in Georgia for a long time, {NAME}. In the eight years he was Secretary of State before being elected governor in 2018, Brian Kemp oversaw a campaign of widespread voter suppression. Under his watch, 1.4 million voter registrations were purged, thousands were put on hold, and nearly half of Georgia's polling places were relocated or shut down. And in the four years before Brian Kemp, guess who pioneered voter suppression in Georgia as Secretary of State? That's right -- Lucy's 2018 and 2020 opponent Karen Handel. Handel was called out by the Justice Department for violating the Voting Rights Act with an illegal voter roll purge in 2008 and led the way in supporting Georgia's strict voter ID law. [We cannot let Brian Kemp, Karen Handel, and the Georgia GOP continue to intentionally suppress Democratic turnout -- add your name here to speak out against voter suppression in Georgia.]( [END VOTER SUPPRESSION ⇨]( Thanks for all you do, -- Team Lucy [ADD YOUR NAME ⇨]( [Lucy McBath for Congress](#) This message was sent to: {EMAIL} | If you no longer wish to receive emails you can [unsubscribe here.]( Lucy runs a people-powered campaign that relies on grassroots supporters like you -- and if she's going to win re-election, she's going to need your help.
