Email Preheader Text

You may notice that this message is hitting your inbox a lot later than usual, {NAME}. Â And thatâ

You may notice that this message is hitting your inbox a lot later than usual, {NAME}.  And that’s what I want to talk to you about today.  See, up to this point, I set aside time first thing Wednesday morning to write these emails for you.  I planned it that way to make sure that I always had the time to fit these emails in. And to make sure I never missed a single week.  The problem is, I also found myself having a really hard time moving on to other projects after I was done.  Instead, I would refresh the stats in my email platform to watch the engagement numbers grow.  I would constantly check my inbox for messages from my readers. And I would reply to any that came in.  Worst of all, after I checked one of my inboxes, I would feel the dopamine rush kick in. And I would feel compelled to start checking messages across all my other email accounts, too.  Until I had lost hours going down the rabbit hole of reading and replying to messages — when I had planned on putting my head down and writing copy for clients.  Now I tried to fight against these impulses for a while by “pausing” my inboxes.  But it hasn’t really helped.  So now I’m trying something new…  Rather than fight the urge to check my emails after I send them to you…I’m just going to embrace it.  And I’m going to do that by emailing you at the end of the day — instead of the beginning.  That way, I can do my “deep work” for clients in the morning … take a nice, relaxing break for lunch … then come back refreshed in the afternoon to write this message to you.  And once I hit the send button, I will effectively be done with my work day.  Which means any time after that is essentially free time.  And if I spend that time checking my inbox and refreshing my email stats, it won’t come at the expense of other top priorities.  Which I hope will help me get even more done.  Plus I also thought it would be helpful to share my thought process with you, {NAME}.  Since I bet there are a few areas in your own life where you try to fight against your natural impulses.  So by showing you how I’m finding ways to lean into my own, I hope it gives you some ideas for how you may be able to do the same.  Until next Wednesday afternoon,  -Brian [Unsubscribe]( | [Edit your details]( Freelance Like A Pro PO Box 281 Bloomingdale New Jersey 07403 United States [Powered By Kartra] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
