My wife wants me to tell you something important today, {NAME}.  It started when we were taking a walk around the neighborhood this morning.  See, we hired an in-person assistant a few weeks ago. And the impact has already been wonderful.  Before we hired our assistant, I don’t think I went in our pool on a weekday even once this summer.  Now that we have her help though, I’ve been able to go in every day this week. (Except yesterday, when we had some thunderstorms.)  Plus I’ve been able to do some of my best work ever for my clients.  I feel like I’m getting into a flow state almost every day now when I sit down to write. Since now I can focus without having to worry about all the little tasks and chores around the house that stack up over the course of the day.  And that has allowed me to come up with what I think is the best copy of my career. Plus I’ve been able to write it much faster than usual, too.  So I’m thrilled with the decision we made to hire our assistant.  Even though it goes against what everyone else says you need to do to grow your business.  See, most of the business advice you find online will tell you to hire a virtual assistant first. Or to find someone to outsource your work to. (So in my case, that would be a junior copywriter who could take over some of my client projects.)  But I’ve written before about [why I don’t want to build a team for my freelance business](.  Instead, my biggest sources of friction and frustration were in-person tasks that get in the way of my workday.  So hiring an in-person assistant to help me with those makes a lot more sense.  Even if it means going against the grain.  And this is a lesson that applies to all of us.  You need to figure out what the biggest priorities and opportunities are for you. No matter what advice the online "gurus" try to force on you.  Also, my wife was actually the one who pointed out this insight to me on our walk this morning.  And she said that if I was going to use it in my email today, I needed to give her credit. (So thanks, babe!)  Until next week,  -Brian [Unsubscribe]( | [Edit your details]( Freelance Like A Pro PO Box 281 Bloomingdale New Jersey 07403 United States [Powered By Kartra] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
