Hey {NAME},  A few weeks ago, I asked you for your top insights and takeaways so far in 2024.  I got a bunch of great replies. And I wanted to highlight 2 of my favorites for you today. Since I think they will serve as a helpful reminder for how you can grow your own business through the rest of the year.  The first takeaway comes from Svet D. He mentioned that he didn’t have as much work as usual during the first 3 months of the year. But he continued to be persistent in his outreach efforts. And now he’s Copy Chief for a big direct-response company based in Brazil.  So it makes sense that this is the takeaway he shared:  “Be extremely proactive in your outreach. Even if you're slammed with work, never stop building that pipeline, so you avoid the feast-and-famine cycles.”  Which brings me to the second takeaway. It’s from Pete R. And it’s also about how to build up a steady stream of clients — so you can avoid the feast-or-famine cycle.  He wrote:  “My biggest takeaway so far this year, is that I should have started publishing my own content online much before I did. Even though I've struggled with clients, people seem to enjoy my writing, and I've managed to create a large engaged audience on LinkedIn. So if I was to give advice to anyone just starting out in copy, it would be to start taking care of our own business much sooner and you'll start attracting more people…and not have to chase as much.” Also, I want to thank Svet and Pete for agreeing to let me share their insights with you. They learned these lessons the hard way. And then they were generous enough to share them with you so you don’t have to. So I hope you listen,  -Brian [Unsubscribe]( | [Edit your details]( Freelance Like A Pro PO Box 281 Bloomingdale New Jersey 07403 United States [Powered By Kartra] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
