Hey {NAME}, There’s only 1 word I can think of to describe the way my business has been over

Hey {NAME},  There’s only 1 word I can think of to describe the way my business has been over the last few months…  Weird.  Because from one angle, I’ve seen a lot of positive signs during that time.  First, I just finished testing out a new type of project with one of my clients. And this new scope of work allowed me to triple my effective hourly rate.  Which means if I can find other clients who are willing to hire me for the same thing, I could potentially earn 3 times more income without working any extra hours.  On top of that, early testing shows that I may have a new control with one of my clients, which would pay significant royalties each month. Along with a performance bonus based on how much I increase their sales.  And I also had 5 new potential projects come across my desk over the last few weeks as well.  Now if I stopped here, you might think I was crushing it.  And that’s exactly what most online influencers would do.  But I’ve told you before that I’m here to tell you the truth (that no one else will) about what it takes to have a successful career as a freelancer.  So that’s why I’m also going to reveal that from another angle, things are not looking so great for my business right now…  First, of the 5 potential projects I just mentioned, 4 of them were not a fit. (So I referred them to my [private coaching students](.)  Now I’m hopeful the 1 remaining opportunity will work out. But it’s not a done deal yet.  And the same thing goes for the royalties from my potential new control. Until it actually wins — with a large sample size — I can’t count on that income, either.  And that could turn into a big problem.  Because my revenue is slower than I’d like approaching the halfway mark for the year. And at my current pace, I’d fall $30,000 short of my income goal for 2024.  Which explains why I have such conflicting feelings about my business right now.  Since it feels like my success for the entire year hinges on what happens over the next few weeks.  And if just one of the opportunities from the “positive” category I mentioned earlier works out, it could allow me to reach my goals with ease.  But if things go poorly, then I may not have enough time left in the rest of the year to close the gap. And I could fall short of my goal for a second year in a row.  So I wanted to share this with you so you know that these ups and downs are a normal part of freelancing.  And I hope it gives you some comfort if you’re going through them yourself right now. Or the next time you go through them in the future.  Until next time,  -Brian [Unsubscribe]( | [Edit your details]( Freelance Like A Pro PO Box 281 Bloomingdale New Jersey 07403 United States [Powered By Kartra] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
