here’s what to do instead… Hey {NAME},  If you’re doing cold outreach to get clients, I hope you reconsider after reading what I’m about to say.  Because for most freelancers, cold outreach is a giant waste of time. And I would only use it as a last resort — once I’ve exhausted all of my other options for getting clients.  Instead, this is what I ask the freelancers I work with:  When’s the last time you contacted your past clients to share concrete ideas for how you can help them with additional, high-value projects (in exchange for money)?  Or what about offering to give your current clients greater and faster results by expanding your work for them (in exchange for more money)?  Plus I have even more advanced techniques that I only share with my students.  Because the fact is, most freelancers with even a modest amount of experience are sitting on a gold mine of current and past client relationships. Not to mention all the other leads and prospects you have spoken to, but have failed to convert so far.  Yet for some reason, freelancers continue to get distracted by the siren song of chasing new clients. Even though it is WAY easier to get more work from someone who already knows you and trusts you.  And that means you can get more clients — more quickly — by tapping into your existing connections compared to cold outreach.  So all the extra time you spend sending cold messages is just a waste.  Which is why I focus on warm outreach first. Then only after I’ve exhausted those options would I suggest reaching out to colder connections.  Until next week,  -Brian  P.S. I’m thinking about hosting a small virtual event where I walk a few lucky freelancers through my system for staying fully booked — without cold outreach, posting on social media, or hunting on job boards.  This is the exact method I’ve used to make over $200,000 every year for the past 3 years effectively on autopilot — without signing a single new client. And I’m even considering giving away all of my irresistible and proprietary outreach email templates, too.  So if you want me to keep you posted about this event, just reply with the words “fully booked.” [Unsubscribe]( | [Edit your details]( Freelance Like A Pro PO Box 281 Bloomingdale New Jersey 07403 United States [Powered By Kartra] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
