Freedom Journal Newsletter [Freedom Journal] SPONSORED Here’s an absolutely crazy story that will make your blood boil...  There’s a young man who likes to go for bike rides around his neighborhood to get exercise.  He uses an app on his Android phone to track how far he rides.  One day, he gets an email from Google telling him that his local police department was requesting access to his Google account. And, he only had 7 days to go to court to try and block the release.  The young man was terrified because he hadn’t done anything wrong and so he hired a lawyer.  The lawyer discovered the reason police wanted access to his client’s account…  An elderly woman in the neighborhood had her house burglarized.  The police had gotten a “geofence warrant.”  A geofence warrant basically means the police were able to get the Google location data from everyone in the area from their phones and Wi-Fi.  It’s Big Brother at its worst.  As police were scanning all the data from their geofencing, they discovered someone who made frequent trips around the house several times a week.  It was the young man who rode his bike around the neighborhood all of the time.  Finally, the lawyer was able to convince police that the young man had nothing to do with it and they left him alone.  But, not after his family had to spend thousands of dollars on legal fees.  If this doesn’t anger you, I don’t know what will.  This is a disgusting overreach of surveillance and why it annoys me when people tell me…  “I don’t care about the government watching me since I haven’t done anything wrong.”  Just because you haven’t done anything wrong, doesn’t mean the government can’t screw you, as it did this young man.  So, be careful what apps you have and what you allow to track your location.  If you’re really old fashioned like I am, just use a flip phone.  And, if you seriously want to know how not to be tracked and how to use covert communication, you just might be interested in the Sleeper Cell book I [recently released here.]( Stay safe,  Jason Hanson Former CIA Officer As Seen on Shark Tank    c) 2019 Freedom Journal.
