I’m asking you to sign this Emergency Pardon Petition because right now a decorated police officer is sitting in prison for doing his job. ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏   Dear Fellow Patriot, As a wrongly accused police officer who was pardoned by President Trump, I’m asking you to sign this [Emergency Pardon Petition]( because right now a decorated police officer is sitting in prison for doing his job. On December 3, 2019, the Kansas City Police Department observed a red pick-up truck chasing another vehicle through the city streets. Officers unsuccessfully attempted to catch the truck – and involved the department’s helicopter to track it. The chopper tracked the car to the backyard of a home – and Detective Eric DeValkenaere and his partner were the first to arrive at the scene. Eric approached the passenger side of the pick-up and his partner approached the driver’s side, both shouting commands at the driver to STOP and SHOW HIS HANDS. Eric saw the suspect reach toward his waistband and grab a handgun, pointing it directly at his partner. Fearing the suspect would shoot, Eric discharged his firearm four times into the windshield of the pick-up as it continued driving into the garage. When officers entered the garage, they found the suspect deceased with his arm hanging out of the window and his .45 semi-automatic pistol on the ground. (A weapon they would later learn was stolen.) No doubt Eric saved his partner’s life that afternoon – and probably his own. But instead of receiving an award for his heroic actions, Eric DeValkenaere was charged with Involuntary Manslaughter and Armed Criminal Action by a District Attorney desperately trying to hold onto her elected seat on the bench. Worse, the Missouri Supreme Court just declined to take Eric’s case – exhausting his options through the justice system. Even though the Missouri Attorney General agreed Eric is innocent, woke anti-cop prosecutors and the defund the police mob somehow still won! A pardon from Missouri Governor Mike Parson is one of Eric’s last remaining options for freedom. [Now you know why I’m asking you to follow this link to sign the Emergency Pardon Petition right away.]( My name is Stephanie Mohr and I’m proud to be on the Board of Directors for the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund – a non-profit organization that supports and defends wrongly accused officers like Eric. Over the last few years, LELDF has helped many men and women in blue clear their names and win back their freedom. I am also one of those officers LELDF has helped. You see, I used to be a police officer with the Prince George’s County Police Department in Maryland. Then one night I was called to a burglary scene. I did everything by the book – including releasing my canine to apprehend the suspect. We arrested the suspect, an illegal immigrant who was convicted and deported. So, imagine my shock when five years later the U.S. Department of Justice announced it was indicting me for violating the suspect’s civil rights by allowing my canine to bite and hold his leg so we could arrest him. And after two trials – in which the government flew in two illegal alien criminals to testify against me – I was convicted. I spent ten years in prison. But I was one of the lucky ones – not only did I have LELDF helping me fund and mount my defense – but they also helped me secure a pardon from President Trump restoring my good name. That’s why I can’t turn my back on a decorated police officer with a wife and three children at home waiting for him. And I hope you won’t either. [Will you sign the Emergency Pardon Petition to Missouri Governor Mike Parson right away?]( Eric should have been commended for his service and life-saving actions that day, not convicted and sentenced to years in prison! The reality is we can’t get back the last several months Eric has been sitting in prison or the nearly four years this nightmare has been hanging over his head. But with your help today, we can bring Eric home to his wife and three children. [So please, won’t you take just 30 seconds of your time right now to sign the Emergency Pardon Petition to Governor Mike Parson?]( After signing the petition, please make a generous donation to LELDF to fund this petition and the legal defenses of eight officers (including Eric) they currently support. Remember, LELDF is able to support wrongly accused and convicted officers like Eric and me because of the generosity of patriots like you. And with a pardon the final option to secure Eric’s freedom and restore his good name, I’m begging you to [sign the Emergency Pardon Petition today.]( Thank you in advance for your support. Gratefully,   Stephanie Mohr Director, Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund P.S. Without your immediate action, Eric DeValkenaere – a decorated Kansas City Police Detective – will spend the next six years behind bars. His three beautiful children won’t have their biggest cheerleader at their graduations, maybe even their weddings. And the only way to get him out is to get Missouri Governor Mike Parson to pardon him. [Will you please take 30 seconds right now to sign the Emergency Pardon Petition and help me fight for Eric’s freedom?]( I hope you’ll also make a generous, tax-deductible donation to LELDF. No matter what, please pray for Eric and his heartbroken family. [SIGN THE PETITION]( More such officers who sacrifice so much for will face similar fates unless we speak out and stand up for the brave men and women in blue. The next time you see a police officer in your community, please thank them for their service.
