[Free-eBooks] "I'm Thankful I Found This" Happy Thanksgiving,{NAME}! I love this quote by bestselling novelist, Jonathan Safran Foer, Thanksgiving is the meal we aspire for other meals to resemble. And isn’t it so true? It’s one meal we pour our hearts into. We gather friends and family together for the connection. We remember loved ones and feel thankful for all that we have. It makes sense that most other meals don't quite measure up. Not because they aren’t good or shared with special people, but because there isn’t as much intention behind them. It makes me think of the early days in my business. I wasn’t really thankful for what I was doing because it felt darn hard ALL.THE.TIME. I didn’t feel connected to my audience because I was too busy worrying about everything I had to do, and whether I was doing it all wrong. I wanted my business to resemble others I’d seen online. The perfect social posts. The gorgeous websites. The connection those people obviously had with their audience. It’s a lot like how many of us *actually* experience Thanksgiving, right? We WANT what it's supposed to look like and feel like - like a Hallmark movie. But it just doesn’t often end up that way. And our businesses don't either. (Hallmark movie? More like National Lampoon’s on vacation!🤣) I learned to be thankful for my accomplishments, even when they didn’t seem to measure up to my expectations. I learned not to compare my Thanksgiving Day (ie. website) to others, because it took a lot of work and I was proud of it. I learned that pouring my heart into the business I loved was GOOD, but not quite enough. (this was a big AHA, because it forced me to seek out help) My Thanksgiving wish for you today is to be thankful for how far you’ve come. And I am also thankful for Live Streaming.
