Did you know moderate consumption of red wine is actually healthier than not drinking any at all? The antioxidants that red wine contains can lower the rates of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and mortality. Just make sure you don’t go overboard with your daily glass. Be warned however that drinking too much can easily replace all of those benefits with plenty of health risks. Everything is fine in moderation, after all. Red wine is made of water, alcohol, and a third ingredient, known as polyphenol. This ingredient contains color pigment, aromas, plant compounds, and more importantly, tannins. Tannins are also commonly found in dark chocolate and green tea! Tannin is known to be beneficial to heart longevity and health as it can inhibit cholesterol plaque in your blood vessels. All red wines come from a single species of grape - Vitis Vinifera, which originates from Eastern Europe. The color of the wine comes from the skin of the grape. As wine ages, the color starts to pale. But, you shouldn’t be drinking too many older wines because the younger wines are better for your health. (They contain higher levels of tannin.) Since the color of the wine is decided based on the skin of the grape, it’s easy to make white wine out of red grapes - all you have to do is remove the skins. A popular white sparkling wine that’s made with red grapes is Blanc de Noirs Champagne. Books Can Teach You About Wine (or Anything) Speaking of wines that are better for you, you probably didn’t know that not all red wines are equal - in health benefits, that is. example, Sagrantino, Tannat, and Petite Sirah are all much healthier choices than the popular Pinot Noir or Cabernet Sauvignon. Plenty of countries around the world are known for their wine, but two especially popular ones are Spain and Portugal - and for good reason. The warm climates of these countries are especially great for vineyards, which can make different sorts of wines. To learn more about these two countries, their wines, and even some grape-based beauty treatments, you can get The Essential Wine Guide today, on [Free-Ebooks.net]( Cheers!
