During one of football's worst weeks, those in the sport showed their best side. [View in browser]( [FOX SPORTS INSIDER WITH MARTIN ROGERS] In today’s FOX Sports Insider with Martin Rogers: In a tough week emotionally, sports showed how we all are on the same team when it matters … The Eagles have one last chance to clinch the NFC East and the NFC's top overall seed … and more! It is too simple to say the broad football community was "right" in how it responded to this week's horrifying Damar Hamlin situation, because there is no right or wrong in such things; just human emotions, instinctive reactions and a lot of heavy, heavy thoughts. Even so, the way events transpired since the Buffalo Bills safety's heart stopped in Cincinnati on Monday night, right through to the positive improvements announced Thursday and Friday, showed a few things. The biggest is that there are good people playing and coaching and watching this sport, who, for all the ways in which football puts its stamp on American life, were able to see instantly that it is just a game, and that there's another game that will always be more important. That would be the game of life, the game Hamlin won, which is exactly what doctors told him when he was able to communicate at last, and the first thing he wanted to know was whether Buffalo had beaten the Cincinnati Bengals. That game will never be completed, a show of respect to Hamlin's plight and absolutely the correct decision given the drastic effect it had on everyone present, everyone watching and even those who heard about it secondhand. It has been a confusing time, because we all have different ways of handling trauma and potential tragedy, and that's just how it is, because we're not robots and there's no emotional playbook on matters like this. There has been reflection, prayer, donation, conversation and yes, avoidance, because for some it was too painful a topic to work through. Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers: Packers (-4.5) to win by more than 4.5 points From FOX Sports Betting Analyst: Jason McIntyre The Packers are surging, but let’s be clear who they've beaten during this streak – a Bears team that has lost nine straight; a Rams team that has the most losses of any defending Super Bowl champ; a fading Dolphins team; and the overrated Vikings. Still, it’s tough not to like the Packers here at home to wrap up a playoff spot. Temperatures are expected to be in the 20s, not a good sign for Jared Goff, who has struggled historically in cold weather. Yes, the Lions have won outdoors four times this season – in Chicago, in New York (twice), and in Carolina – but this will be a different animal. Lambeau will be a scene, and the Lions are 3-19 there in their last 22. That means little to Goff, who did have a good first half in Green Bay last year before wilting in the second in a 35-17 loss. That game was in September, though. Also, if the Seahawks win, the Lions won't have anything to play for. Just something to consider. For the latest betting odds, [click here](.
