[Adorn]( Designer: Laura Worthington Adorn by Laura Worthington Fonts.com: Q1: What inspired you to make this font and what makes it different? Laura Worthington: I designed the Adorn series for the wedding market. A few years prior, I had noticed that many people were moving away from traditional/standard stock invitations that one would purchase in the stores and towards more of a hand-crafted look. Calligraphy and hand lettering were making a big comeback and I wanted to offer a collection of typefaces that would speak to that audience. I designed the Adorn collection to convey warmth, personal connections and a hand-crafted look and feel. I believe the monogram series is what truly sets Adorn apart from other typefaces that are available, and have a set of one, two and three letter combinations that are different from one another, yet still work together. All of the typefaces in this collection were designed in tandem, using the same tools - they strike a harmonic tone. FDC: Q2: What do you do besides type — can you share a fun and interesting fact about yourself? LW: I love to go on nature hikes! Along the way I like to identify various plants and trees, learn their scientific names (if I don’t know them already), and call them out as I go along – making sure to annoy anyone who is with me. After all, I live in Washington state, where the Pseudotsuga menziesii are plentiful and the mycorrhizae are critical to their success ;) Adorn is a warm and welcoming font family. A modern and sometimes quirky twist on the staid, this family of hand lettered typefaces arms designers with a breathtakingly large number of fonts that work harmoniously, despite the distinctiveness of each. 20 fonts for $129 $45.15 [Shop Here]( [Avaline Script]( Designer: Kimmy Kirkwood Avaline Script by Kimmy Design Font.com: What inspired you to make this font and what makes it different? Kimmy Kirkwood: This style of script is inspired by the pages of my notebooks from my younger school days. I would doodle in the margins of almost every page, and was even a member of a lettering club in high school. I always adored this sweet script style, and wanted to implement it digitally. The great thing about modern typography is the usage of OpenType features, that allowed me to create a very authentically hand-drawn font, with swashes, stylistic sets, special ligatures and ornaments. It's quite unique because when designing it I wasn't following any trends, but instead mimicking my own more youthful lettering style, with a bit more of a practiced hand! FDC: What do you do besides type — can you share a fun and interesting fact about yourself? KW: Ever since I was a kid, I've always loved making things. Designing type has given me the perfect outlet professionally, but I also love to make things outside of my computer. Much to my husband's dismay, my famous last words are, “wouldn't it be cool if”. We bought a small house in Seattle last year and decided to gut and renovate the entire thing. We had a contracting team help us do all of the more professional work, but I played GC/designer and put together all the cabinets while my husband did all the demo. We relandscaped our entire backyard and are currently building the studio for my office ourselves. Avaline is a super smart script font that was 100% handmade. Inspired by hand lettering doodles, the font family combines a mischievous spirit and cheerful style. Its playful letterforms come in Light, Regular, Bold and Sketch, and it comes with tons of language support and fun alternatives. 10 fonts for $60 $24 [Shop Here]( [Sagrantino™]( Sagrantino™ by Monotype Sagrantino™ shines at large sizes – and in vibrant colors. Think big posters, commanding headlines, massive banners and oversized packaging. Set headlines in the Highlight or Shadow designs and running copy in the Regular – all on the same page! Sagrantino could be called the Lava Lamp of fonts. It’s slick, glossy, retro and futuristic. Somehow, it’s fresh and quirky-classic at the same time. This is a design that challenges you to think outside the text box. In fact, Sagrantino is so lively, it took three Monotype typeface designers, Karl Leuthold, Juan Villanueva and Carl Crossgrove, to draw it. 3 fonts for $99 $34.65 [Shop Here]( [FS Sammy®]( FS Sammy® [Shop Here]( By Fontsmith 1 font for $80 $28 [Remachine Script Arabic]( Remachine Script Arabic [Shop Here]( By Mans Greback 1 font for $59 $29.50 [Baguet Script]( Baguet Script [Shop Here]( By Mika Melvas 6 fonts for $99 $34.65 [Boho]( Boho [Shop Here]( By Latinotype 26 fonts for $159 $63.60 [Rapstomer]( Rapstomer [Shop Here]( By Dhan Studio 1 font for $19 $9.50 [Hasta Luego]( Hasta Luego [Shop Here]( by Hanoded 2 fonts for $25 $10 [Bayamo]( Bayamo [Shop Here]( By Monotype 1 font for $39 $13.65 [Estampa Script]( Estampa Script [Shop Here]( By Latinotype 5 fonts for $99 $39.60 [Honey Love]( Honey Love by Dhan Studio Honey Love is a pretty font that has a unique and attractive style, this font also has a lovely alternatives, which will make your designs even more perfect if you want to mix them in each of your designs. 1 font for $15 $9 [Shop Here]( BIG Script SALE ends March 23rd, at 11:59 p.m. EST. - Shop [all deals]( now!
