URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Tell Bayer-Monsanto to STOP LYING TO YOU about how its toxic pesticides are pushing monarch butterflies to the brink! As spring approaches, we get closer to monarch migration season in which millions of butterflies fly north after spending winter in warmer climates. They grace the air with beautiful displays of orange and black – or at least they USED to! Migrating monarch populations have COLLAPSED over the past few decades! Bayer-Monsanto’s flagship product Roundup is a part of the problem. It contains a chemical called glyphosate that kills milkweed – the ONLY plant where monarchs lay their eggs! Over the last 20 years, 850 million milkweed plants have VANISHED across the country! Despite these staggering figures, Bayer-Monsanto continues to lie about the dangers of its pesticides. Bayer-Monsanto has manipulated science and dodged regulations designed to keep us and pollinators safe from the toxic effects of its pesticides. TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO SAVE MONARCHS! [Please, Friend, tell Bayer-Monsanto to STOP selling pollinator-toxic pesticides and protect threatened monarch butterflies!]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Monarchs lay their eggs on milkweed during their great migration. Once hatched, baby caterpillars eat milkweed as their first and only food source. But Bayer-Monsanto’s Roundup is wiping out milkweed and STARVING baby monarch caterpillars! Bayer-Monsanto isn’t just trying to hide the effects of its pesticides on monarchs. Glyphosate has been linked to cancer, reproductive harm, and other serious health risks in humans, with children being most vulnerable. Bayer-Monsanto doesn’t want you to know that, though. We aren’t fooled by Bayer-Monsanto’s lies – and I know you aren’t either, Friend. That’s why I’m reaching out to you specifically. [We need at least 3,019 more signatures to hit our goal and push back against greedy Bayer-Monsanto! Sign now to protect pollinators and people from toxic pesticides!]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Standing with you, Kendra Klein Deputy Director for Science, Friends of the Earth Contact Us: Friends of the Earth U.S. Washington, D.C. | Berkeley, CA 1-877-843-8687 [Contact us](foe.org/about-us/contact/) Email Preferences: [Click here to unsubscribe]( Learn more: www.foe.org/news www.foe.org/about-us www.foeaction.org Connect: [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Flickr]( © 2021, Friends of the Earth.
