BREAKING NEWS: The US Fish and Wildlife Services announced that gray wolves in the Northern Rockies

BREAKING NEWS: The US Fish and Wildlife Services (FWS) announced that gray wolves in the Northern Rockies will not be relisted under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). [Take action now >>]( Unfortunately Friend, gray wolves in the Northern Rockies are being left defenseless without any federal protections. This means the brutal slaughter of innocent gray wolves and pups will not only continue but potentially wipe out the remaining population of this iconic species. Gray wolves have historically been a symbol of North American wilderness -- but they now occupy less than 10% of their native range. As you read this, hungry wolves are being lured out of their dens by bait. Shot to shreds by piercing bullets. Mangled and torn apart by leg traps. CHOKED TO DEATH by neck snares. Even nursing wolf mamas and their baby pups in some states are being blown up by DYNAMITE inside their dens. Innocent gray wolves in the Northen Rockies needed ESA protections yesterday. Gray wolves do not only need federal protections but a recovery plan to restore a once thriving population. We do not know how much longer they can survive under these brutal conditions, and each moment of inaction can be the last for a precious wolf pup. [Please, Friend be a voice for this iconic keystone species and demand that the Biden Administration expand ESA protections. Sign our petition before it is too late for these beloved canines! >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( The Northern Rockies states bordering Yellowstone National Park have few LAWS to keep gray wolves safe, legally permitting trophy hunters to indiscriminately MASSACRE these precious creatures. The EXTINCTION of this keystone species wouldn’t just be devastating for biodiversity efforts. But losing gray wolves would have harmful effects on our ecosystems as they play a vital role in maintaining the balance of our public lands. We cannot let dirty politicians and dark special interests succeed in harming our delicate ecosystems for the sake of profit and power. And yet the situation is not hopeless. Because when we have members like YOU in our fight, we can make real change happen. Change that can help protect wolves, their habitats, and our planet. [But trophy hunters and Big Oil lobbyists are actively fighting back against protections for these precious creatures, so we need you now more than ever -- will you join us Friend?]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thank you for protecting wolves, Friends of the Earth Contact Us: Friends of the Earth U.S. Washington, D.C. | Berkeley, CA 1-877-843-8687 [Contact us](foe.org/about-us/contact/) Email Preferences: [Click here to unsubscribe]( Learn more: www.foe.org/news www.foe.org/about-us www.foeaction.org Connect: [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Flickr]( © 2021, Friends of the Earth.
