Mama grizzly bears and their cubs are snuggling in for hibernation. But they don’t know that come spring, they may not even be safe in their own dens. Montana and Wyoming have DECLARED WAR on innocent grizzly bears. Both states petitioned the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to strip grizzlies of their Endangered Species Act protections. But if these protections are dismantled, grizzlies could soon face the horrors that black bears are forced to endure: reeling for days on end in painful steel traps, hunted down by hunting dogs -- even DYNAMITED in their own dens! FWS plans to answer the state petitions by summertime -- so time is running out to convince the agency to STRENGTHEN grizzly protections instead of SLASH THEM. [Sign your name NOW before grizzlies lose their life-saving protections and trophy hunters push them to extinction! >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Grizzly bears aren’t bound by state lines, Friend. If they are delisted in even one state, a helpless grizzly -- even a cub -- could easily wander across state borders and be KILLED WITHOUT CONSEQUENCE. We can’t let it come to that. It takes only ONE bullet to KILL a mama grizzly. One bullet to leave her cubs orphaned and at risk of STARVATION and HYPOTHERMIA -- or to face the same fate at the hands of a trophy hunter. One bullet to decimate an entire bear family. Grizzly cubs should be eagerly getting a glimpse of their first spring -- not fighting to survive when their lives have barely begun. But hunting lobbyists in Northern Rocky Mountain states are actively proposing cruel anti-bear laws and will stop at nothing to REMOVE EXISTING PROTECTIONS. All so they can BRUTALLY SLAUGHTER these innocent animals in the name of “fun.” Beloved and vulnerable grizzlies don’t have voices of their own, Friend. That’s why they need YOU to be their voice today. [So please -- add your name now and PROTECT grizzly bears before they are hunted to extinction.]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thank you for taking urgent action to protect bears, Friends of the Earth Contact Us: Friends of the Earth U.S. Washington, D.C. | Berkeley, CA 1-877-843-8687 [Contact us](foe.org/about-us/contact/) Email Preferences: [Click here to unsubscribe]( Learn more: www.foe.org/news www.foe.org/about-us www.foeaction.org Connect: [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Flickr]( © 2021, Friends of the Earth.
