A mama polar bear stumbles across the frail Arctic ice. She is struggling to find food. Following her are her hungry and weak cubs-- who are barely keeping up. There is not much time left before the melting ice beneath them COLLAPSES. And if it does, the chances of survival will be very low for the delicate polar bear cubs. They must find food soon before they DIE from MALNUTRITION and STARVATION. This is no tall tale Friend. With the Arctic warming FOUR times as fast as the rest of the planet, vulnerable polar bears are left to bear the brunt of human-driven climate change. With only about 900 Southern Beaufort polar bears remaining, we could risk losing these iconic mammals indefinitely. One of the reasons for the melting Arctic and threatened polar bear survival? Toxic wastewater dumping from corporate cruise companies. Large cruise ships parade through Arctic waters and they can dump pollutants and chemicals into the fragile marine ecosystem that nearby Indigenous communities and polar bears rely on for survival. We cannot count on Big Cruise to reign in its greed and dirty practices. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) MUST do more to protect threatened polar bears, people, and the planet from corporate greed and destruction. [Friend, we need YOUR help to demand regulation of Big Cruise and its polluter friends before it’s too late. Please sign our Cruise Pollution Petition now before our 11:59pm TONIGHT >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Arctic Indigenous communities rely on the ocean’s resources to support themselves. But cruise ships pollute the ocean, bring in intolerable noise pollution, and drive away animals that are essential to these communities’ way of life. One of the worst offenders is Carnival Corporation – its ships carried 11,000 tons of hazardous heavy fuel oil in a single year through Arctic waters — nearly THREE times as much as its largest competitor. The Arctic is melting fast, Friend. We’re running out of time, and cruise corporations needed to be held accountable yesterday. That’s why we’re reaching out to you now. We know you don’t want to see communities polluted, the Arctic melted, and wildlife starved to death. [So, please, be one of the 547 more people we need from your area to sign TONIGHT! Stop corporate cruise ships from DESTROYING the Arctic! >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thank you for taking action to protect the Arctic.
