URGENT ACTION REQUIRED: Demand federal action on the plastic crisis immediately before the planet is destroyed by the PLASTIC APOCALYPSE. [Take action and speak up now! >>]( Friend, as you read this, precious baby sea turtles in the ocean are eager to eat and explore the expansive waters they call home. They’re looking for yummy jellyfish, seaweed, and fish eggs to snack on. They need lots of nutritious foods to grow from half a pound to over 500 pounds! Curious and hungry, a baby sea turtle spots a translucent object floating across the ocean. Must be a jellyfish! It glides quickly to its prey and begins chomping. But as soon as it tries to chew the object, they start to CHOKE. The piece of “food’ is actually a piece of PLASTIC. The plastic debris gets LODGED in the sea creature’s tiny throat, keeping it from breathing. This innocent baby sea turtle will soon die of SUFFOCATION. This is only one example of how MILLIONS of marine animals are KILLED from plastic waste that is washed into our oceans. Plastic pollution is an endangerment to our marine ecosystem. Marine life can easily mistake plastic as food, get entangled in plastic debris which affects their ability to swim, and can even get INJURED by sharp pieces of plastic scraps. The plastic that invades our oceans are also invading our bodies. When plastic breaks down, it becomes MICROPLASTICS that are found in our food supply and even the air we breathe. Plastic do not ever DISAPPEAR Friend… We need to regulate plastic production and pollution NOW before it overwhelms our planet any further. We don’t need more plastic, we need solutions! In order to demand bold action from the Biden Administration, we need YOU in this fight. [Will you help us, marine animals, and the planet? Sign our plastics petition before our 11:59pm deadline TONIGHT!>>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Friend make no mistake: Big Plastic and Big Oil are deeply connected. Plastic is made from a colossal amount of fossil fuels. These industrial-sized plastic factories release tons of harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and harm nearby residents in communities that are disproportionately low-wealth and communities of color. In fact, mega-plastic corporations have also been discovered ILLEGALLY discharging plastic waste into communities’ water sources! We cannot stand by while greedy corporations fill their pockets and fill our lands with waste. Our precious planet is on the line, as well as our health and wildlife. We need immediate action—we cannot wait another day. [Please, Friend, take action against the plastic apocalypse and demand regulation of Big Plastic and Big Oil. We need 3,984 signatures to meet our goal. Will you help us by signing now?]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thank you for taking a stand against plastic pollution.
