Dear Friend, Early Access: Fight back against trophy hunting and Big Polluter attacks on wildlife and our planet. Donate $27 today before Giving Tuesday ends tomorrow! If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $27 immediately]( [Donate $50 immediately]( [Donate $100 immediately]( [Donate another amount]( One bullet. It takes just one bullet to kill a mama bear. One bullet to leave her cubs orphaned, struggling, starving, and unable to fight off predators. One bullet to completely decimate an entire bear family. Our country’s bears are under attack. As they prepare for winter hibernation this fall, it could be their last. That’s why I’m reaching out early, Friend: Vunerable species like black bear and grizzly bear cubs, the lands they roam, and our planet are at risk if trophy hunters and Big Polluters get their way. [With these urgent threats in mind, a generous group of donors have agreed to match all gifts, up to $200,000, but only until Giving Tuesday ends tomorrow.]( To highlight how dire the situation is: Maryland already DOUBLED the bear slaughter last hunting season. 103 black bears were killed in the state. Pennsylvania could see similar increases. That would be devastating given that last year, 3,659 black bears were killed in the state. But clearly, this is not enough for trophy hunters. They want to push the massacre to new heights. As a dedicated supporter, I am sending you a special EARLY ACCESS link for this match, so you can pave the way for others, and strengthen our fight for vulnerable wildlife, people, and the planet. Please don’t wait another second: [EARLY ACCESS FOR {EMAIL}]( Trophy hunters in the Northern Rockies are chomping at the bit to remove ESA protections for iconic grizzly bears. They’ve made numerous attempts to delist them. This would allow them to ruthlessly murder them during the hunting season, and they show no signs of letting up. We can’t let them get away with this, Friend. GIVING TUESDAY SUPPORTER RECORD EMAIL: {EMAIL} DEADLINE: 11:59 p.m. Tomorrow EARLY MATCH ACCESS: Available. [Give Now.]( SUPPORTERS FROM YOUR AREA NEEDED: 11 MORE [MAKE MY GIFT NOW]( Records reflect most recent available data. 11:59 p.m. deadline. We need to act fast before it’s too late for grizzlies. Protect vulnerable species and our planet with a $27 donation before Giving Tuesday ends! If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $27 immediately]( [Donate $50 immediately]( [Donate $100 immediately]( [Donate another amount]( It’s bad enough that bloodthirsty trophy hunters want to MURDER innocent bears for fun. But their cruelty means extreme danger for the next generation of cubs. Bear cubs rely on their mothers for at least two full years. If these mama bears are killed, their babies will be ORPHANED. They’ll be left to starve, freeze, or become easy prey for other predators. If that happens, the future of this iconic species will be lost. We can’t afford for trophy hunters to keep decimating bear families like this. Grizzly bears and their vital habitats are already in a dire situation. At their peak, they numbered 50,000. But by 1975, reckless human activity -- hunting, trapping, and habitat loss -- already decimated bear populations. Their numbers dropped to 1,000 individuals in the lower 48 states. Now, they occupy just 2% of their original range! I know these numbers are shocking, Friend. But still, the pro-hunting lobby and their anti-environment allies are working overtime to strip these endangered animals of essential legal protections. The Endangered Species Act provides critical protection for America’s iconic animal species. These protections are some of our most effective safeguards in the fight to protect wildlife, the lands they roam, and curb catastrophic climate change. Without these protections in place, trophy hunters could brutally kill bears without consequence. What’s more, destructive industries like Big Oil, logging, and factory farming could swoop in and wreak havoc on endangered species’ habitats. That means losing some of the last pristine wilderness we have left. Giving Tuesday is the perfect time to stand up for critical wildlife and the planet before the damage is too great. If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $27 immediately]( [Donate $50 immediately]( [Donate $100 immediately]( [Donate another amount]( You may be wondering why it matters if bears are lost forever. Well, the fact is that bears are intelligent creatures, Friend, and they hold a critical place in our ecosystems. They enhance biodiversity, enrich soils, regulate prey populations, and transport nutrients through vast swaths of wilderness. And now, by simply existing, they’re standing between massive corporate pollution and a sustainable future for our planet. For the sake of our wildlife and the future of our planet, we can’t let Big Polluters and their cronies in Congress destroy our public lands and wipe out our endangered species. At Friends of the Earth, we are using every tool available to protect endangered species and our planet -- not Big Industry’s profits. We know how to fight and win, and that’s exactly what we plan to do. In honor of Giving Tuesday, we are asking you to stand with us as we continue this work with your membership gift today. There’s not a minute to lose. We all need to raise our voices in defense of vulnerable species. Together, we have the power to stop these killings, strengthen the ESA, and protect our planet before the damage is irreversible. And today, you have DOUBLE the power to fuel our work to save bears, their lands, and the planet with this matching gift opportunity. But this rare match ends tomorrow at midnight. And we won’t reach our goal without your help. Make your $27 contribution now, before this opportunity expires and we lose any more bears or our planet. Join the fight to protect vulnerable species and our planet. Donate $27 in honor of Giving Tuesday now and have twice the impact!
