Dear Friend, Don’t let grizzly bears get wiped out by ruthless trophy hunters. Contribute $27 or more today. When they emerge in the spring, mama bears will venture out of the den to find food and provide for their cubs -- but they could be looking down the barrel of a trophy hunter’s gun, never to return and see their babies again. [Help protect innocent mama bears and their cubs from being killed and donate $27 today.]( Trophy hunters are killing mama bears scavenging for food for their babies -- leaving their cubs to starve, freeze, or fall prey without protection from their mothers. This scene could get even more gruesome. You see, states in the northern Rockies are working to remove ESA protections for threatened grizzly bears -- all to kill bears and take over the lands they call home. If trophy hunters and private interests succeed, it could spell disaster for grizzly bears. We can’t let them chip away at protections for the grizzlies, opening up the lands they call home for mining, logging, and other devastating implications for the environment. Protect mama grizzlies and their cubs from private interests and ruthless trophy hunters. Donate $27 or more today. But reckless human activity, like hunting, trapping, and habitat loss, decimated their numbers to as little as 1,000 in the lower 48 states by 1975, when they were finally given protections. That’s why we need to stand up to trophy hunters looking to put iconic grizzlies in danger once again. If they succeed, grizzlies could be facing the same unimaginable struggles that black bears face today -- being lured out of safety and trapped with painful metal clamps, and getting tracked and terrorized by hunting dogs before being brutally murdered. No animal deserves this horrendous fate. This, unfortunately, is not the first time Wyoming, in particular, has attempted to remove protections for grizzlies. Federal judges have twice rejected attempts to strip these protections -- but the state is proceeding anyway. We need to act now to stop greedy trophy hunters from driving grizzlies to the brink. Don’t let trophy hunters and private interests rip away the remaining safeguards grizzlies still have. Make your $27 contribution today. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $5/month immediately]( [Donate $27 immediately]( Grizzlies are incredibly important for the environments they inhabit -- they enhance biodiversity, enrich soils, regulate prey populations, and transport nutrients through different ecosystems as they roam far and wide. But the Fish and Wildlife Service is working to move forward with the slaughter of as many as 72 grizzly bears in the Yellowstone area to accommodate livestock, a move that could impact the population as it currently stands, which would, in turn, affect surrounding ecosystems. This is why we need activists like you to help us fight back against private interests looking to decimate protections for grizzlies. With Big Industry’s profits under threat, they are pushing back against these efforts, but we are not giving up. Vulnerable species, bear cubs, and the future of our planet rely on our work and your membership support to keep up the fight. The inhumane treatment of bears and their cubs cannot continue. One bullet will not only kill mother bears, but the slaughter means that her cubs will be left to die as well. Please, Friend, help us put a stop to the deaths of America’s most iconic species. Help protect bear cubs and the public lands they roam. Make your $27 donation today to help us reach our $5,500 goal before the clock strikes midnight.
