URGENT ACTION NEEDED: We’re running out of time to DEFEND organic farmers and the humane treatment of farm animals! Organic agriculture began because the public demanded a healthier, safer, and more transparent food system, including products from animals that are treated with DIGNITY and RESPECT. While most organic farmers already meet these standards, Big Ag is trying to skate past animal welfare regulations. The Organic Livestock & Poultry Practices Rule would provide peace of mind for consumers by guaranteeing that all farms that use the “organic” label are held to the highest standards. But in 2017, Trump sided with Big Ag by ABOLISHING this organic animal welfare rule. But RIGHT NOW, with your help, we have another chance to show the power of strong public support, Friend. The deadline for our petition to reinstate the OLPP has just been extended -- but we only have until 11:59 PM TONIGHT to get another 5,802 signatures. [Will you add your name right now to DEFEND organic farmers and animal welfare?]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( The OLPP would ensure the federal regulation of livestock on organic farms and codify humane standards -- like providing animals with real outdoor access, enough space to move around, and even protection from unnecessary physical alterations. Organic farmers, consumers, and animal advocates overwhelmingly support this rule -- but Big Ag only cares about profits, not animal welfare -- so they don't want stricter rules that will make it harder for them to compete with the organic industry. [We can still defend helpless animals from Big Ag’s attempts to water down the organic rules if we act immediately. Please, Friend, add your name right away before the 11:59 PM DEADLINE! >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thanks for protecting organic farming and defending organic animals!
