Three young gray wolves were brutally GUNNED DOWN just over the Wyoming border. These wolves were the first wild-born pups in Colorado in more than 80 years – but they were MURDERED without consequence. Now, the last surviving wolves in the pack are at serious risk of being slaughtered by merciless trophy hunters. [Wolves don’t deserve to die like this. But wolves can’t understand state lines – and as soon as they stepped their tiny paws over the Wyoming border, they were free game for trophy hunters. Now, their family is left grieving this unimaginable loss. Just like people, wolves mourn their dead. These sensitive canines lose their playfulness and spirit with the loss of a family member. Instead of howling together as a group, they turn to solitary, mournful cries in memory of their fallen relatives. Sadly, this may not be the last death this pack endures. That’s because the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service recently decided NOT to relist gray wolves under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Without ESA protections, the door is open to inhumane hunting methods like strangulation snares and longer hunting seasons. That means more senseless wolf deaths – and more mourning packs.
