Dear Friend, Being a Member of Friends of the Earth means you don’t back down when it comes to protecting our planet and all of us who call it home. It means being committed to a healthy and just world, and putting people before profits. You’re standing up to corporations to end deforestation. You’re fighting for the future of our food system. And you’re defending our environmental protections from Big Oil’s cronies in Congress. We can’t thank you enough for all you do on behalf of our environment. We promise to uphold the following commitments to you: - We will use your donations efficiently and responsibly to advance our mission of defending the environment and championing a healthy and just world.
- We will be accountable and transparent by making our financial statements and annual reports easily accessible online.
- We will keep you informed about the progress of our campaigns so that you can help us both celebrate after victories and regroup after setbacks.
- We will send you a prompt thank-you letter or email after you make a donation of $5 or more.

- We will give you control over the type of communications that you receive from us. As a Member, you also have a voice in Friends of the Earth’s leadership. This year, there is one open slot on our Board of Directors. Soroush Shehabi is running uncontested to fill it. Soroush offers experience in finance, environmental law enforcement, business, politics, and media, and expertise in energy/environmental security, foreign policy, and political organizing.
